From my experience other MOBAs like LoL and Dota are indeed geared toward an older audience and are way more toxic.

However Unite's automated system tries so hard to be "child friendly" that accounts can be banned for minor triggers, often without human review... this combined with virtually non existent customer support makes contesting those automated bans very difficult.

Truthfully, I do like how less toxic Unite is compared to what I've heard from others who play the other MOBAs. The lack of support and or appeals does lose paying customers as well.

Those things might also be a couple more reasons why they take in less money?

Ah I forgot DotA exists. To think that came into existence from a Warcraft 3 custom map too. Not sure which game has the larger player base but Unite benefits by simply being younger. Younger is generally less toxic if that makes sense but yeah if you don't have a great customer support in place, you won't be able to retain or generate long-term financial support.

In any case, as I noted before, Unite isn't going anywhere.

Yes, but the game is also much simpler and smaller... in fact Unite "main map"/"game play" it's very similar to an actual Dota mini-game and the gameplay is extremely simplified.

You can compare it to TCG Pocket vs TCG Live. That's how players from those giant MOBAs view Unite... as a simplistic mini-game where everything is simplified, from the gameplay and fashion items to matchmaking, content and customer support... so the tatget audience is smaller and the game is much more recent too, players who have invested so many years and money in Dota or LoL will hardly leave to play Unite... it came too late to the MOBA genre.

That said, it's great game for younger players or for those who prefer a more casual and less toxic environment.
