Does Gyrados feel like a Flying type? Why or why not?

No not all because...
It literally just floats
Gengar should be a Flying type if that makes it worthy!
There is nothing about it that screams "I'm a Flying type!"
I mean, if they didn't give it Flying type attacks I would see zero connection!
More of a Dragon than anything!

I’d say bc: it’s like WEEOO, just not FLIPFLAP. Like a Chinese dragon! (A long, I think?)
Bc no: no wings, also it looks more dragon to me. Maybe dark!

Most of the time Gyrados is depicted he is swimming in lakes and oceans (like Jesse's Gyrados who quickly turned on him and the shiny red Gyrados you find at the lake of Rage in Johto), I think he simply floats in games because of convenience to somehow explain how a water type Pokemon can actually fight on land just like pretty much every other water type that doesn't have legs.
Wailord should be a flying type too because he also floats in the games.

It's a Water Dragon. Yet if they did, it would have dominated Gen 1 even more than Kingdra did in Gen 2 because it had 100 Special in Gen 1 to go with an absurd 125 Attack and no Type weakness because Dragon had just Dragon Rage(40 fixed damage).
Also if Gyarados is a Flying Type, it should learn Fly, yet doesnt(Bounce doesn't count). Yet, a Flightless BIRD in Dodrio(Normal/Flying) CAN learn Fly. What the bleep!
