IS IT JUST ME?
How come some Pokémon can talk while others can't? A big example that we all could agree with is starting with Meowth (Team Rocket's Meowth) in the serise of pokemon meowth is the only pokemon that could talk at the time while others couldn't but the you get pokemon movies where all kinds of other pokemon could talk like Mewtwo, Zarude,Hoopa, Etc. But the main question is: Should all Pokémon be able to talk in English?

yes, probably. Meowth learned to speak and stand on two legs to impress another meowth who had no interest in him because he was just a “street Pokemon” while her human pampered her. Mewtwo has telepathy (as well as some others like naganadel). Hoopa I’m not sure… but I think that most Pokemon can probably teach themself human speech with lots of effort.

If you think about it Meowth is actually speaking all languages…
Originally Japanese but can switch to American English (Unova), French (Kalos), Hawaiian (correct me if they don't have their own language, but Alola (Alola was Hawaii, right?)), and British English (Galar (AMERICAN ENGLISH AND BRITISH ENGLISH IS NOT THE SAME AND YOU CANNOT CONVINCE ME OTHERWISE ANYMORE!!!))

It wouldn't be as fun if they all talked… even in the Detective Pikachu movie, Ryan Reynolds I mean Pikachu only "talks" to his trainer, which is less bad... but I still prefer if they don't talk at all.
