Pokémon Bank is Shutting Down
Pokémon Bank will be shutting down in February 2027. This will mean that all transfers to Home from gen 7 and before will be cut off. You will need to make any transfers before then.

That sucks an indescribably, unbelievably large amount. I miss when transferring Pokémon was an in-game feature and not a paid subscription.

My thinking is that they might be upgrading the system or changing to an entirely new one. It's not like the National Dex has been in their thoughts since Gen 8 so 🤷🙅. Besides, it's a relic of the 3DS era and must be swept away to quote Governor Tarkin.

There really needs to be an alternative that doesn't require a server. There should've been one in the first place. I've been wanting to get a ribbon master for a while, and now there just isn't enough time left for me to do that. And this problem is entirely of TPCi's own making.

Well that isn't good how are we supposed to transfer our pre-switch Pokemon. This breaks the chain.

Plus how are we supposed to transfer between 3DS games if you don't have more than one system.
