Imagine if we had the three Calyrexes in Unite
I thought of a really cool concept for Calyrex in Pokémon Unite so I felt like sharing it to see what y'all think. What I was thinking was that each of the three Calyrex forms are their own pokémon - Base Calyrex as a Supporter, Ice Rider Calyrex as a Defender, and Shadow Rider Calyrex as a Speedster. At Lv. 5, you stay the same form if you're base, or you gain the said horse pokemon if you're shadow or ice rider. Here are my ideas for each below:
Base Calyrex - Supporter
Special Ranged Easy
Basic attacks are ranged and sure-hit moves, and the boosted attacks grant shields to the user and a nearby ally equal to 5% of their HP. However, to balance it, the boosted's will be every 5'th attack instead of the usual 3'rd.
The ability, Unnerve, allows the user to weaken an opponent's battle item effects by 15% when hit by 3 attacks, and goes on a 10-second cooldown after triggered.
The Lv. 1 move, Mega Drain, is a sure-hit move that deals damage to the target and heals the user the amount equal to 60% of the damage done to the target. The Lv. 3 move, Helping Hand, is a buff move that grants an ally a 10% damage boost for 5 seconds.
At Level 5, the Mega Drain slot gets upgraded to Life Dew, granting the user a shield equal to 20% of their HP and a nearby ally a shield equal to 20% of their HP. If no ally is nearby, the user instead receives a shield equal to 15% of their HP. This move has an 7 second cooldown.
At Level 7, the Helping Hand slot gets upgraded to either Heal Pulse or Leech Seed.
Heal Pulse is a buff move that restores 25% of an ally's HP and grants the target a 10% movement speed increase. This move has a 6 second cooldown.
Leech Seed is an area move that throws three large seeds in a rectangular AoE in front of the user. Any foes hit by the seeds get thrown and receive residual damage, and any allies hit by the seeds receive gradual healing. 15% of all damage and healing caused by this move is converted into a shield for the user, and this move has a 7 second cooldown.
UNITE MOVE - Double Steed Stampede: Glastrier and Spectrier are summoned by Calyrex and run around a large AoE. The two loyal steeds will locate all allies and grant them a shield equal to 30% of their HP, and they will locate enemies and throw them.
LEVEL 15 STATS: 7,000 HP, 200 Atk, 275 Def, 575 SpAtk, 400 SpDef
Ice Rider Calyrex - Defender
Attack Melee Intermediate
This pokémon starts as Glastrier before evolving into Ice Rider Calyrex.
Basic attacks are melee and the boosted attacks are a small AoE which deals slightly increased damage and throws opponents. Boosted's are every 5'th attack in =stead of every 3'rd. Think of the Metagross line if it helps.
The passive ability, As One (Ice), increases the bearer's defensive stats by 2 every time a hindrance is afflicted on a target, with a maximum of 100 per stat.
The Lv. 1 move, Avalanche is an AoE move that drops a mound of snow around the user, dealing damage and lowering the speed of any enemy that walks into the mound. The mound lasts 3 seconds and this move has a 5 second cooldown. The Lv. 3 move, Ice Shard is a short dash move that thrusts the user in a said direction, dealing damage and throwing any pokémon caught in the dash. This move has a 4 second cooldown.
At Lv. 5, Glastrier evolves into Ice Rider Calyrex and the Avalanche slot is upgraded to Glacial Lance. This area and hindrance move has the user summon a wall of crashing ice spikes in a said AoE, dealing damage and freezing opponents for 2 seconds.
At Lv. 7, the Ice Shard slot gets upgraded to either High Horsepower or Trick Room.
High Horsepower is a sure-hit and hindrance move where the user slams into the target, dealing considerable damage, throwing the target, and lowering their movement speed for 4 seconds. This move has a 5 second cooldown.
Trick Room is an area move that creates a large, square zone that last 12 seconds and give allies a 10% damage buff, debuffs opponents' movement speed by 30%, and deals passive damage to opponents. This move has a 20 second cooldown.
UNITE MOVE - Frigid Glacier Freeze: Spectrier appears and summons a large black hole, leaving opponents caught unable to act. Ice Rider Calyrex then summons a huge Avalanche into the black hole, dealing immense damage and throwing opponents.
LV. 15 STATS: 10,000 HP, 470 Atk, 565 Def, 128 SpAtk, 395 SpDef
Shadow Rider Calyrex - Speedster
Special Ranged Expert
This pokémon starts as Spectrier and evolves into Shadow Rider Calyrex.
Basic attacks are ranged and sure-hit. The boosted attacks lower all move cooldowns by 1 second and reduce the target's movement speed by 15% for 2 seconds. This pokémon's boosted's are every 5'th attack instead of every 3'rd.
The passive ability, As One (Shadow), increases the bearer's movement speed by 15% for 5 seconds and cuts move cooldowns by 1 second every time the user KO's a pokemon.
The Lv. 1 move, Hex, is an area move that deals damage in a certain area. Any opponents caught in the AoE receive a 10% movement speed debuff for 3 seconds. This move has a 4 second cooldown. The Lv. 3 move, Calm Mind, increases the user's damage and movement speed by 15% for 3 seconds. This move has a 7 second cooldown.
At Lv. 5, Spectrier evolves into Shadow Rider Calyrex and the Hex slot is upgraded to the area move Astral Barrage. Upon usage, the user rises into the air for 2 seconds. During those two seconds, time itself is slowed by 15% in a certain radius, and the user uses the R joystick to choose the 3 locations where the comets will strike. After the window, time goes back to normal and the shadow comets rain down. The user receives a 5% movement speed increase for each pokemon hit by the meteors. This move has an 8 second cooldown.
At Lv. 7, the Calm Mind slot gets upgraded to either Nasty Plot or Expanding Force.
Nasty Plot is a dash move that has two charges, similar to Darkrai's Nasty Plot or Ceruledge's Flame Charge. On the first use, the user becomes invisible for 1 second upon use and dashes forward in a said direction. The next basic attack is guaranteed to be boosted. If another attack is used after the first Nasty Plot use, the second use does the same thing, and the charge rate is 3 seconds. However, if both Nasty Plot uses are used consecutively, the second dash slows down time in a certain radius and the user becomes invisible for 0.8 seconds upon use. This dash has 60% higher range than normal, and any pokémon caught in this dash are thrown. Just like the first, the next basic attack is guaranteed to be a boosted attack. When this interaction occurs ("interaction" meaning two consecutive Nasty Plot uses), the charge rate for the first Nasty Plot is increased to 6 seconds instead of 3.
Expanding Force is an area move that has the user launch a circular wave of psychic power around it. Up to 3 pokémon hit by the wave get trapped in a barrier. When the user clicks the move again, the barrier breaks, dealing heavy damage to the trapped opponents, and another wave is launched. This chain can repeat itself up to 3 times. The same pokémon cannot be caught in two waves in a row. This move has a 9 second cooldown.
UNITE MOVE - Astral Tundra Tremor: Glastrier appears and summons a huge ice spike from the ground, trapping any pokémon caught in it. Shadow Rider Calyrex then fires a superpowered Astral Barrage into the spike, shattering it, dealing damage and additional residual damage afterward.
LV. 15 STATS: 4,700 HP, 500 Atk, 230 Def, 725 SpAtk, 330 SpDef
