Knock outs don't count for daily goals if opponent concedes before Prize Card selection

Had a daily to knock out two opponent Pokemon.
Knocked one out, but my opponent conceded before I selected Prize Cards and the KO didn't register for the goal. When does the system flag a successful knock out? Opponent leaving the game shouldn't stop that from registering.
