Fire/Fairy Regional Arcanine
The game is longing for a Fire/Fairy type and Arcanine is the perfect candidate. Based off of ancient guardian Shisa dogs that fend off evil spirits, Arcanine is a perfect fit to receive the fairy treatment.
Stats wise it would still total 555 but be less of a physical presence, losing alot of it's attack (-60) but gain in Special Defence (+20), Special Attack (+20) and Speed (+20).
This will also take shape in it's appearance, looking less bulky.
In-line with the Arcanine lore of being a guardian dog, this Fire/Fairy variant will receive the Hidden Ability: Magic Guard.

If anything gets Fire/Fairy, it's Ninetales. Fire/Fairy presently doesn't exist(Gen 10 leaks not withstanding) and the lone Ice/Fairy is Alolan Ninetales. Would make sense to extend that courtesy to its Kanto counterpart. If Arcanine was to get another type, it'd be Normal. Extreme Speed would be downright scary.

True, Fire/Dragon is a solid option. Thing is, the bulk of its attacks in the early gens were Normal(Take Down, Double Edge, Body Slam, Extreme Speed, etc.) Bite was Normal in Gen 1 too(until it becomes Dark in perpetuity in Gen 2 to go with its upgraded Crunch). Even Roar was related to Growlithe in early gens(few other Pokemon would know it.. Vulpix ironically was one).
I mean you could argue Ninetales warrants Psychic, Dark or Ghost but Ill die on the Fairy hill.
