What are your choices for the free log in Pokémon and Holowear?
My Attacker was Miraidon (but I wish I chose Armarouge)
I then chose the Explorer Miraidon outfit
For my Speedster I only had 3 options (Galarian Rapidash, Dudrio, and Darkrai) and I chose Darkrai
For the Holowear, though, I chose the Meowscarada in a white top hat
My All-Rounder decision I regret, because I went Mimikyu but wish I chose Mega Charizard X
The Holowear is my favorite, though, being Noble Style Ceruledge
After that I stop caring about my character choices, though
I don't play Defenders or Support because I need good damage and to be able to attack, attack, attack
For my Defender I went with Vaporeon because of the Forums
My Holowear, though, I actually really like
Noble Style Umbreon (much better than the maid outfit I have)
And tonight for my Support I think I'm probably going to do Clefable or Sableye
The outfit still go to my choice

Interesting, I was thinking about most of the Pokemon you mention in OP.

TBH I haven't picked yet, Pokemon or holowear.
Instead I made a list of my license point ladder, including when I can get the pokemon, how many license points they cost and when I can get the "your pick" special selections.
Why did I do this?
Well, I have over 3,500 lps to use with four newly inserted "special selections" coming up next and I still have the boxes for free pokemon available. What I am doing is saving the boxes for pokemon I am interested in who are also either very far up the ladder for me or on the more expensive side if using license points. Then I'll use the lps and "you pick" ladder selections for the ones who cost less yet I'm still interested in. This will allow me to unlock potentially more licenses or at least put the remainder towards another rung on the ladder.
I'm not following the "meta" as to who is currently op because that could change in a heartbeat with their regularly scheduled (it seems) buffs and nerfs patch notes thing.
Oh by the way, remember the way they categorize Pokemon is not the way they have to be played. I've seen and played with a friend of mine who plays an awesome kungfu Snorlax (lol) and Goodra who end up doing more attack damage and have way more KOs than most, if not all, of our team (including me). It's all in how you build them out (emblems, held items) and how you play.
Side note... yesterday I only played one ranked, solo queued randoms, we won with 3 attackers, 1 defender (me) and and a Psyduck. The other team was more balanced. On top of that, we were handicapped for a bit due to one attacker having Internet issues or going afk for a quick bit. They received a 5pt fair play points deduction. (No, the teammates, myself included, did not get entry fee back, maybe because we still won?). See it can be done, people. 😎

Interesting stuff... btw couple of questions... the promotional gifts like licenses have an expiration date? I mean will they disappear if not used in time?
Also, are there any active gift codes available?

First, I do not believe the boxes will disappear... I'm still sitting on my choices too (all the while still accumulating more license points)... too hard to pick sometimes
Second.... hmmmmm.... In a couple days you can get a free trial license for Palkia I think. So right now is the bacon birds free trial license via gift exchange. If there are other ones besides the ones from last month, I'm not aware of them yet.
However, I'm guessing there are a few still floating around out there.....
