What is everyone’s favourite main Pokémon region? It could be because you like the new Pokémon released on it, or it feels special to you because it was your first game, or you enjoy the scenery and layout, anything! Vote in the poll then explain why in the comments :)

Kalos (Gen 6)
I love Kalos for many reasons! My first Pokémon card I ever remember getting was a Fennekin that was given to me on the school playground, unfortunately I do not know where it is. Fennekin is still my favourite starter, and I love many of the new Pokémon released in Kalos like Sylveon! I also love the X and Y anime, it is my favourite art style they have used and I have fond memories of watching it either by myself sometimes or with my sister when she wanted to watch it too, and Serena is my favourite trainer from the anime and all of her Pokémon are soo cute! The only thing Kalos related I haven’t experienced is the games, since I don’t have X and Y or Legends ZA, but I hope you get them at some point soon!

My first game was pokemon sword so I chose Galar. I also just like Galar.

What a hard choice
I love Galar because I have fond memories of Sword
I also love the region of Galar because it looks like a pretty place that has a lot to explore that the game prevents you from going into
Plus I genuinely love a lot of the characters in the story, so it was a really good story
I also love Kalos, with do much to see and do
Plus, I love Mega Evolution
It's my favorite gimmick
But my choice is Sinnoh
I believe that the Pokémon added in this region were some of the greatest in the whole Dex
The entire region is peaceful and pretty
There's a lot to explore here, too, amd the lore goes deep
And unlike many I enjoyed BDSP
I'd love to go to this wondrous region irl

Unova (Gen 5)
Z-A isn't Kalos. While it's fun per se with the battles and Lumiose City, there's no Clermont and Bonnie despite the Gym being right there at Prism Tower and you don't get to experience or meet the other Gym Leaders(which the Anime did a phenomenal job showcasing). You don't even get a cameo with Calem/Serena despite the fact Z-A takes place after XY games like BW2 did for BW(and you got to see Hilda and Nate(or was it Hilbert.. ugh I hate forgetting names).
Sinnoh isn't bad but BDSP did a poor job representing it. Wasn't a faithful remake at all without Return TM or having Eevee early enough on the game to truly matter (getting one in post game sucks when it's guaranteed on Platinum. Could have done Grand Underground like they did with Great Marsh and other Platinum Pokemon).
Gen 3 is solid but since I haven't played it, I can't give a Fair judgement. Gen 2 is really good, particularly the remakes HG/SS. While I have a fondness for Gen 1, it has far too many flaws.
Therefore my answer to this is going to be Gen 5. While I didn't play it, I've watched walkthroughs and it's one of the most detailed games I've seen. OST is solid and there's lots of post game fun. That and I really like Snivy line, even if the region is hostile to Grass types.
