Mega Evolution Build & Battle feels extremely unbalanced and unfair
I would like to give strong feedback about the current Mega Evolution Build & Battle event.
I am honestly very disappointed with the balance of the four decks. This feels like one of the most unfair Build & Battle events so far.
The biggest problem is the Inteleon deck. It feels far too strong compared to the others. Inteleon can effectively choose and knock out whatever target is most convenient, while Frosmoth spreads damage across the entire Bench and also applies Sleep. In a 40-card Build & Battle format, this is extremely oppressive. The deck has tempo, spread damage, status pressure, and targeted finishing power all at once.
Meanwhile, the other decks feel much worse by comparison.
The Alakazam deck often feels like it does not deal enough real damage unless the hand size is large enough, and it does not create the same kind of immediate board pressure. The Lunatone deck feels slow and awkward because its attacks require too much Energy for what they actually do. It feels like some decks have to work very hard to accomplish basic things, while the Inteleon deck gets powerful effects much more easily.
This is especially frustrating because Build & Battle uses Event Tokens. When a player loses because of normal gameplay decisions, that is fine. But when one deck is clearly much stronger and another deck feels almost non-functional, losing a token feels unfair. The balance of the preset decks directly affects the Event Token economy.
This was already a problem in previous events, especially with the Barbaracle deck, which felt almost impossible to win with against anything except another Barbaracle deck. I was hoping the balance would improve, but this current event feels bad again — just in a different way. Instead of one deck being completely terrible, one deck now feels overwhelmingly stronger than the rest.
Please consider deck balance much more carefully in future Build & Battle events. The mode can be very fun when all four decks are reasonably playable, but when the decks are this uneven, the whole event becomes frustrating and unfair.
Right now, this does not feel like a fair limited format — it feels like being punished or rewarded mainly based on which preset deck the game gives you

Live’s staff can’t really do much in terms of balancing B&B boxes, they’re stuck with giving players the same stuff that’s in the physical products where this kind of stuff is somewhat mitigated by acceptable levels of human error.
That said if TPCi wants to make this mode a regular thing in Live they’re gonna have to start formulating 40-card decks in future B&B Boxes in such a way where they’re balanced said human error AND the ”errorless” RNG that Live uses, it’s either that or retiring the mode with no middle road.

Requiring no tokens would be fine for the beginning :p

I agree with Inteleon being overpowered relative to the Grass and Psychic kits but I think the Fighting kit is a fairly close second, if not a contender for first. It can donk and it also can beat Inteleon consistently with practice. Garganacl may be energy hungry but it can clear two Inteleons. I don't think Frosmoth does much for Inteleon's win condition, though. I know it can buy time and chip to set up snipes but in my experience I've been dropping the line often to focus on Inteleon, especially when I pull extra rare candies or Inteleons.
Still, there are cards that can elevate the other kits to compete with and even exceed the others. Mega Absol or an extra Alakazam does wonders for the Psychic kit. An extra Forest of Vitality can help the Grass kit immensely. A single Cinderace can improve any kit. The weakness of the Inteleon kit is that it doesn't synergize very well with most of the cards you can pull from your packs.
Ultimately, it's been a lot more fun than the Phantasmal Flames kit. The inconsistency of Darkness and the inconsistency and straightforward game plan of Celuredge made many of the games noncompetitive or kinda flat. If Flygon got set up it slaughtered the Psychic kit.

I'm not very good at this game anyway but i do feel like the game doesn't match you with players on your skill level I lose so often, but I thought the build and battle mode made a good change to the game rules although I dislike having to spend tokens to play it, I would like there to be more options for different rules and play styles on Pokémon tcg live so we can mix up the game even more, I love the trainer trials most of all, but id like to have some ai opponents of different difficulty to battle against maybe earn some gym badges around regional maps 😅

It feels extremely unbalanced and unfair, because it really is.
They're trying to make it close to irl prereleases instead of making a fun game mode that's actually adequate to a digital TCG.
I wouldn't mind if TCG Live B&B had completely unique rules and features unrelated to physical events. I don't care about prerelease events accuracy... just make it a balanced and fun to play mode.
