Pokemon Pokopia - Pokemon freezing in position

I've experienced this bug a few times now, but can't determine what the actual cause is.

In my Pallet Town area, the pokemon there occasionally stop moving around the world, and are locked in position.

Their animation still works for things like interaction speech bubbles or calling you over, but they remain on the spot. You can also move them by pushing into them, and if you call them to follow, they do to an extent, but then stay in the spot they're left if you dismiss them.

The only way I've been able to fix this when it happens is to save, close, and relaunch the game, but I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this, and if theres any sort of fix for the issue?
