Pokémon Champion: left handed-friendly features

On nintendo switch it's not so much a problem, but I'd really want an option to flip the interface, or at the very least the fight menu.

Also, I'm getting a bit bored that in every Pokémon game with a "left handed" throwing style, you have to go through a whole chunk of the game before you get to unlock the left handed style; this time it comes pretty early, but I need to spend points for this??? I know it's only cosmetic but why?
