Greetings, Pokémon TCG Live Community,
As order comes under threat, will you fight against or rise alongside it? We’re thrilled to be back with an early look at the new content coming in the approaching release, so without further ado, let’s jump right in!
Chaos Rises in Mega Evolution—Chaos Rising
Mega Floette ex is here to create havoc, and it will take the might of Mega Greninja ex and other powerful Mega Evolution Pokémon ex to stand a chance against it! As new, game-changing cards arrive in the Mega Evolution—Chaos Rising expansion, formidable Pokémon are everywhere you look, ready to take your decks to the next level.
Mega Greninja ex’s Ability, Mortal Shuriken, lets you place up to six damage counters on one of your opponent’s Pokémon by discarding a Basic Water Energy card from your hand, giving you ultimate flexibility for dishing out damage. Combine this with Mega Starmie ex’s Jetting Blow attack, which does 120 damage to the opponent’s Active Pokémon and another 50 to a Pokémon on their Bench, and the two make an excellent power duo. And they're going to need all the help they can get: Mega Floette ex, with the help of Ange Floette, Prism Tower, and the Hero’s Cape ACE SPEC card, can reach as high as 500 HP. This beefy total HP means Mega Floette ex has immense staying power!

New Game Mode: Build & Battle
Looking for a fresh new way to play the Pokémon TCG? You’re in luck, as the exciting Build & Battle format is coming to Pokémon TCG Live! Serving as an alternative to the existing Ranked and Casual offerings, Build & Battle is a game mode that lets you play through a series of battles using a 40-card deck built with only a limited pool of cards.
This new game mode is inspired by the existing Prerelease events held at local game stores worldwide, and we aim to bring that same excitement and camaraderie to the Pokémon TCG Live community as well. Whether you already have plenty of experience with this format or are trying it for the first time, please enjoy the Build & Battle mode and look forward to frequent events with a fun variety of card pools for deckbuilding!

Pokémon TCG Live Third Anniversary Celebration
While it may be hard to believe, Pokémon Trading Card Game Live is celebrating its third anniversary on June 8, 2026! Whether you’ve only just downloaded the game or you’ve been with us since day one, we want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We’re so grateful to be a part of your Pokémon journey, and we hope to be a part of it for many more years to come.
During the campaign period starting June 4, 2026, log in and check out our social media accounts for a variety of gifts and passcodes, including rewards like third-anniversary avatar cosmetics, deck accessories, booster packs, and more! We’ll also be holding special, limited-time throwback events within the new Build & Battle game mode!
Finally, you'll be able to continue the celebration with high-value offerings available in the Shop starting from Day 1 and new bundles added every day until June 15, 2026.

Content Updates
Battle Pass
Chaos is rising through the ranks of our Battle Pass, and so should you! To start off the new Battle Pass, all players will receive a Mega Greninja ex deck as a gift! This deck is full of fun ways to damage your opponent’s Pokémon by using powerful attacks and Abilities that apply damage counters. Make it halfway up the ladder to earn a Mega Floette ex deck—with the right combination of cards in this deck, you can deliver serious damage and get Mega Floette ex up to a massive 500 HP!
Continue ascending the Battle Pass ranks to additionally earn Mega Floette deck accessories and a Mega Greninja–themed avatar cosmetic set!
Ranked Ladders
Alongside Mega Evolution—Chaos Rising comes a new, longer Ranked Ladder. The June 2026 Ranked Ladder will run from the time the expansion releases on May 21, 2026, all the way until July 16, 2026! Progress up the ranks at your own pace to earn deck accessories featuring Mega Greninja and various other rewards!
Trainer Trials
We have two delightful Trainer Trials challenges for players to experience during the Mega Evolution—Chaos Rising release.
- Scheduled from May 21 to June 18, 2026, blast back to the format of last year’s 2025 Pokémon World Championships! Using only decks that were legal during the 2025 Pokémon World Championships, enjoy another opportunity to play with fan-favorite cards that have since exited the Standard format!
- Following the return to the Championships stage, enjoy a Mono Water-type Trainer Trial from June 18 to July 16, 2026, where all decks must be both Standard-legal and contain only Water-type Pokémon. Have fun in the sun and surf with your favorite Water-types!
Learning Lab Lessons
Want to learn how to get the most out of Mega Greninja ex and Mega Starmie ex? Check out the Learning Lab and run through new lesson sets that will guide you in making this dynamic duo overpower almost any opponent!
Pokémon Championship Series: 2026 NAIC
The 2026 North America International Championships are coming to New Orleans! From June 12 to June 14, 2026, the Big Easy is going to be home to some of the toughest Trainers around as they battle it out for titles on the path to Worlds.
Tune into the broadcast throughout the weekend for action-packed games, and if you’re watching on Twitch, earn Twitch Drops based on watch time while keeping an eye out for a passcode to redeem for an exclusive 2026 NAIC Varsity Jacket for your avatar to wear in-game! You can also log in to Pokémon TCG Live during the event to unlock 2026 NAIC deck accessories!
