A visual bug happens when Pokemon receive a buff effect it overlaps with the damage amount on the Pokemon making it unable to tell the amount of damage the Pokemon has.

In an example;

mega heracross ex was buffed by Lively Stadium, the buff indicator covers the damage number. Using Samsung S23FE at the time.
