Metronome Battle Opinions

i would like to hear some opinions on metronome battles from this community

if you don't know what a Metronome Battle is, usually it is where both sides bring team that aim to only use the move Metronome

(you don't have to use the item Metronome )

there have been various official and unofficial formats representing Metronome gameplay across the generations, such as USUM's Battle Spot Special Battle Season 15 (1v1 format) and SWSH's Test Your Luck competition (singles 3v3 format which became a switch stall fest), or [Gen 9] Metronome Battle on the showdown where you can use almost any ability/pokemon (doubles 2v2)

personally i like metronome battles because they are unpredictable and funny to watch and you can see fun animations that you normally wouldn't like snorlax using fly or a signature legendary move like oblivion wing.

my favourite archetype is flower veil/bulky statboost in doubles 2v2, because flower veil is a neat ability and shaymin is cute/cool and flower veil + weakness policy + grass type + 5 weaknesses + partner with a free ability slot like simple = pwnage incarnate
