Cards should just be in the language the user selects
This is a digital card game, meaning card details can be changed instantly. Since all cards use the same artwork, unlike in the physical TCG, it seems unnecessary to collect cards in different languages. I’d much rather be able to trade someone for a Japanese card and have it converted to English than to stay in Japanese, considering I don’t speak Japanese. Just seems like it’d be a much better system and open up the trading pool to where literally every player can trade with any other player. Then we also wouldn’t need the feature that tells other players what language cards we’re accepting.

Hi @mrtwrecks and @zetaDx! Thank you for sharing your feedback about translations. If you haven't already, please feel free to submit a ticket to our team at this link so that we can better track similar sentiment for adding such a feature.
Alternatively, you can visit support.pokemon.com, choose Pokémon TCG Pocket, and click "Contact Us" on the bottom of your screen. We appreciate your help in making the game even better! 😊

They intended it to be this way... I even remember how proud of this feature they were at game launch lol
You're making them sad now… poor devs, but yes a translation option could be useful indeed.

A card is translated in battle and also in the details if you open it up and scroll down. Because of that I think it's fine as is. It opens other ways to collect cards if a player wants it.
