How do I get started in trading?

Hi everyone. I'm not very new to the actual TCG, but new to TCG Pocket. I have unlocked the Trade feature today, but don't know where to start with. Can anyone give me some advice so that I can start?

Sure, first off, do you currently have any "friends" on TCG Pocket?

We basically trade with friends who are other people on TCGP that have either asked to be your friend via a friend request or someone you sent a friend request to.

Once they accept you (or you accept them), then you can use the trade feature in the social hub screen.

In Social Hub (icon with three little people):

    • Select the Trade button. It's on the right hand side.
    • On the next screen, select Trade again
    • Next screen shows a list of your "friends". If they have a Trade button (to the right of their names and top three wishlisted card selections) that means you can select to trade with them.
    • If it shows a grayed out Trade in Progress button which is unselectable, then you will need to wait until their current trade is settled.
    • It will show you your cards that are available for trading and if you have any of their wishlisted cards. You may select a card from either of those.
    • Once a card you would like to trade (give) to the other person is found, selected, and confirmed by you, the trade request is sent to your friend.
    • The friend then has up to two days to decide if they want to do a trade and which card to send to you (hopefully it's one you want and/or need).
    • I believe either party to the trade can cancel it BEFORE it has been agreed to by both parties. (You'll need to dbl check that)
    • The friend sends the offer back to you with the card they are willing to trade for yours. Has to be the same rarity level. You now have two days to confirm.
    • If you confirm, they get a message that an agreement was reached and then you both get the cards agreed upon.
    • If you cancel, everything gets returned to the original owners and the other person receives a notice it was cancelled or not agreed to or something like that.
    • The card goes to your pokedex to be registered (if it is a new one to you)
    • Good etiquette and proper manners would be to send them a "thanks" by selecting the thanks heart at the end of the trade.

You can only have one trade in progress at a time but you may do as many trades as you would like, provided you have enough shine dust or "trade stamina" (green things).

    Hope this helps!

An useful tip is to keep your wishlist updated, it helps your friends to know what you need and also it's an indirect way to have an idea how active you are.
