You wouldn't re-roll, you'd just be without disadvantage but given you have double disadvantage… I'm not sure it can overcome that. Im just curious if I could use it to help you out a tad.

Also I would have done a Strength save to break free because you're a Strong Monk with proficiency in it… D20 + 5 = high chance of success. Then I would have given those Krocks a one-two punch.

Can you explain that (and please remove language)

Breaking free from being confined from a rope is actually using your Athletics skill(not a save since you’re not going to die if you fail. Feel free to correct me if I’m wrong). Yet in either case, you get +5 because you have proficiency in Athletics and in Strength saves, so you’d get +5(3 from Strength + 2 from Proficiency). You then roll a D20 to break free(w/ +5) and then give the Dark/Ground types some Torchic rage if result is high enough. Don’t forget you got an Inspiration point you can use if your first result is not to your liking but I’d only use that in the most dire of circumstances. I do have a spare Inspiration point I was awarded but I’m not sure if this is the time or situation to use it. Then our Tinkatink would move after you and can “betray” the Krocks by dealing a melee attack or a Fairy move given its super effective.

Not sure when the new recruits will enter the scene but they’d have to show up to our sessions for starters.

wait you got the meaning of a save wrong a save is one of 3 things first the person that is experiencing the certain effect is rolling instead of the attacker the second is a saving throw this is when you have a thing that need a general stat like if your tied up i may ask for a strength saving throw or if there is nauseous gas in the air I'll ask for a constitution saving throw the third type the one your thinking of is death saving throw this is when you are close to death and are at 0 hit points you have to make a few rolls to see if you live or die

    Oh, okay

I didn't know that I could do that

I'll have to go back to Session... 5?

The one you got your Inspiration so I can remember how that works

(Also, thank you for removing that)

Inspiration is a mechanic that basically allows you a mulligan on a roll you want to get a good result on by yielding you advantage where you take the higher result. However, I'm unsure as to when you have to say you're using it but the one thing about Inspiration points is that anyone in the group can use them. Meaning you can use my bonus Inspiration point, provided I permit it, hence you can't just go and use someone's Inspiration point(s) w/o their consent. Dungeon Masters award Inspiration points for creative thinking, such as me targeting the water because it conducts Electricity, thereby ensuring that it would hit Sticky Fingers. They also can reward them for roleplaying, such as overcoming a character flaw can be awarded an Inspiration point. At the end of the day, its up to the DM but when I was reading up on Inspiration points, you technically are supposed to use them as you get them because you can only have one at a time. The fact I have two is because a) I didn't know about it and b) DM allowed it and may permit stockpiling Inspiration points(not like he hands them out like candy though).

    Ah

I knew how they were awarded (well, half of how it is) but not how it functioned

I have no clue how I got one inspiration point (probably start with one or something) but I'll take it!

My plan is actually to give Blaze character development (I say this because you mentioned a character overcoming a flaw)

I like the story and plot, so I'm going to make it to where he (slowly) learns to trust others

How I'll pull that off, I don't know, but that's the plan

My Uncle said "Oh, Lord" when I mentioned to him I'm doing this so I didn't know if I'm allowed to look at it like a story

Everyone starts with an Inspiration point. Once you use the one you start with, you don't get any more unless you're awarded one or you are granted permission to use someone's Inspiration point. Another character flaw of Blaze is that he's rash and impulsive. He does things without thinking and comes off as untactful and impatient. If he can learn to control those impulses… perhaps DM might reward him with a point. At the very least he won't be put into a net by Victini.

    I'll consider changing that...

But that's my favorite part of him

It's a flaw, yes, but it's what makes him fun

I plan to tame him, yes, but not by a lot

Anyways, thanks for explaining how it works!
