Currently when you play Aurora Energy from hand it does not discard while Temple of Sinnoh is in play.

Q: If Temple of Sinnoh is in play do I still need to discard a card from my hand in order to attach an Aurora Energy card?

A: Yes, because the discard is required in order to play Aurora Energy.

It's working exactly like it's suppose to. Temple means all special energy cards are just colorless single energy and all the effects are negated. Capture energy doesn't capture, double turbo doesn't provide 2, etc

@lvlrAdam The discard for Aurora Energy happens before the card is put into play, which is before ToS takes effect.

The cost of playing the card is to discard another, while it is in hand it has this effect. Temple of Sinnoh only affects cards that are currently in play. Cards in hand are not affected by its effect
