Bug: Ditto’s “Copy a Friend” Cannot Copy Mimikyu’s “Let’s Try Mimicking” from the Bench

Hello,

I would like to report a possible bug I encountered in Pokémon TCG Pocket.

When using Ditto’s attack “Copy a Friend”, which states:

“Choose 1 of your Benched Pokémon’s attacks, except any Pokémon ex, and use it as this attack.”

I am unable to select Mimikyu’s attack “Let’s Try Mimicking” while Mimikyu is on the Bench, even though it is not a Pokémon ex and appears to meet the stated conditions.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Place Mimikyu on the Bench with its attack “Let’s Try Mimicking” available.
  2. Use Ditto’s attack “Copy a Friend.”
  3. Observe that “Let’s Try Mimicking” cannot be selected as the copied attack.

Expected behavior:

Since Mimikyu is a non-ex Pokémon on the Bench, its attack “Let’s Try Mimicking” should be selectable by Copy a Friend, assuming energy requirements are satisfied.

Could you please confirm whether this interaction is intended or if this is a bug?

Thank you for your time and support.

Assuming you’re using psychic energy and have exact match of energy needed by Mimikyu (two I believe)?

I really love the idea of a ditto deck and love that this new ditto was introduced in the Crimson expansion. As you get have control over the mon and energies you want to mimic compared to the Gen Apex ditto that required you to match your opponents energy (which was highly unlikely).
