Paxton looks at Naveen. Of all the members of the MZ Team, he'll understand where Paxton is coming from best. "What's your opinion on Ange?"
The fashion designer looks up at him. "You know that I immediately assume the worst of every new person I meet," he responds. Paxton nods.
"Yeah, but Ange tried to destroy the city," Paxton tells him. "So this time you have a reason to dislike her."
Naveen's eyes narrow. "Get to the point Paxton," he states. "You're beating around the bush and it's getting annoying."
Paxton sighs. "Alright, alright. Me, the Gris, and Emma are working together to attest Ange. Do you want in on the plan?"
Naveen tilts his head. "Why are y'all so determined to capture her," he asks slowly. "What has she done to deserve it?"
"She tried to destroy the city," Paxton exclaims. Naveen sighs.
"Yes, but she might have changed since then," he counters. Paxton scoffs.
"The first thing she did is came here and threaten me and Taunie," he tells the other. "Talking about revenge and getting back at us."
Naveen nods. "But has she done anything?"
Paxton's eye twitches with annoyance. "No, but why would that matter?"
"Because she might have changed her mind," Naveen responds calmly.
"What happened to assuming the worst of every new person," Paxton questions.
"Oh, I don't trust her," Naveen says. "But I think immediately jumping to get rid of her is a bit dramatic. Honestly, I'm surprised Taunie is cool with this."
Paxton goes quiet for a bit. "She doesn't exactly know about it," he mutters. Naveen's eyes widen.
"What!?" he exclaims. Paxton sighs. "Keeping secrets from your girlfriend is not a good thing!"
"I know, I know," Paxton replies. "But she wouldn't approve. She actually think Ange wants to be friends."
Naveen raises an eyebrow. "Why would she think that?"
"Because that's what Ange told us," Paxton tells him.
"So why don't you believe her," the other boy inquires.
"Because this is the same girl that almost killed us and threatened me and Taunie," Paxton shouts, taking a deep breath afterwards.
Naveen sighs. "Let me make a decision on how I feel about her once I her to know her, then I'll tell you if I want in or not."
Paxton nods. "Sounds good."
Just then, the girls walk in, laughing. Ange has a bag of apples. "Hey guys," Lida exclaims.
"Dancing was great," Ange tells them, handing them each an apple. "Lida tells me you make clothes," she says to Naveen. "Can you show me how?"
Naveen looks surprised by this, but nods. "Yeah, sure," he says. "Let's go up stairs and we can begin."
Ange smiles, following him up. "She's great," Lida says to Paxton, much to his annoyance.
I'll expose you soon enough, he thinks as he watches her disappear behind the elevator doors.
