Ange stares in awe at all of the different clothing stores. It doesn't make sense on why they need so many separate stores. Isn't it more logical to have it all in one big building? Ange doesn't mind, though, actually excited to explore all the places.
"Let's go," Taunie exclaims, grabbing Ange by the wrist and dragging her into one of the shops. The heterochrom's jaw drops when she sees the inside. There is so much clothing! Hats, jackets, pants, shoes, and more! Taunie is already searching through one of the racks looking for anything that sparks her interest.
Ange realizes she's still in the doorway and hesitantly takes some more steps in. The pink haired girl comes rushing over to her with a wide smile, handing her some shirts. "I these would be really cute on you! Let's go see how they look!"
"Uh, o-okay," Ange replies, following Taunie to a mirror. She stands in front of her reflection. "What am I doing?"
Taunie laughs. "Hold the shirts up against you," she tells her. Ange holds a black T-shirt up, unsure if she's doing it right. She doesn't feel anything in looking at it in the mirror.
"What now," she asks Taunie.
"Well it's obvious you're not feeling it," the hotel worker responds, taking the shirt from her. "Try the next."
Ange holds the next item against up. It's a purple dress that flows down to her ankles. She looks at Taunie, who shakes her head. "You're not showing any emotion."
"Sorry," Ange tells her as she hands her the dress. Taunie shakes her head.
"Don't be sorry," Taunie says. "This just means we haven't found the outfit for you! Let's keep going."
Amge nods her head, continuing the process. Blue tank top, red skirt, black jacket, green T-shirt. Every single one doesn't give her any of that emotion Taunie was talking about. She's ready to give up, unsure if there's something wrong with her or if Taunie is making stuff up, but then she reaches the final item and she feels it.
There's nothing special about it. Just a simple pink hoodie that's a bit too big for her. But seeing it against her causes her to smile. A joy that she has never felt before, even when dreaming of revenge. She starts to smile, one of genuine happiness. Taunie nods, humming with satisfaction.
"There it is," she states. "That's the one. Let's go buy it!"
Ange's smile slowly drops. "I-I can't," she says sadly. "I don't have any money."
Taunie smiles. "Girl, I got you covered! I'm buying."
The new girl's eyes widen with surprise, following the pink haired girl to the cashier. "Are you sure?"
Taunie nods. "Of course!" She takes the hoodie from Ange, handing it to the man at the desk. He scans it and Taunie hands the needed money to him. He hands the receipt and hoodie to Taunie.
"Thanks," she exclaims, handing the hoodie to Ange. Ange puts it on immediately, sighing with content.
"This is amazing," she mutters happily. Taunie chuckles.
"Glad you like it," the pink haired girl says. The two of them walk out the shop. "Hey, I need to grab some croissants for tonight dinner. You wanna come?"
Ange smiles and nods. "Yeah! What's for dinner?"
"Croissant Curry," Taunie responds simply, laughing when Ange looks disgusted. "Don't worry! It tastes better than it sounds."
"Alright..." Ange replies, unsure. She's gonna try it tonight, just for Taunie. No, for fake friendship, she corrects. She's not getting attached to the girl. Not even a little bit.
The two arrive to the grocery store relatively quick. "You coming," Taunie asks. Ange is about to say yes, but she noticed something small and green out of the corner of her eye.
"Um, no. I'll wait or here," she replies, smiling. Taunie smiles back, entering the store. The moment Taunie can't see her, Ange drops her smile, facing the Zygarde Cell.
"So you're keeping tabs on me, huh," she questions it. The Cell glares at her silently. "Well guess what, I'm not don't anything! Just making friends," the heterochrom tells it. "So go back to your dog body. You've got nothing to see here"
The Cell continues to glare at her and she glares back. "I'm back," Taunie exclaims. "What are you doing?"
Ange turns to her, smiling widely. "Hey, Taunie! Nothing really. Ready to head back to the hotel?"
Taunie nods. "Yeah! Let's go!" As Taunie walks away, Ange gives the Cell one last glare and follows Taunie.
Nothing will stop me.
