Can we please get a meaningful ranked system?

It's a shame that PTCGL is the only Online Client to play the Pokemon TCG and is without a ranked system that players can use seriously.

As someone who uses PTCGL to prepare for Major Tournaments (Cups and Regionals), i need a place where i can reliably play against the strongest players (or at least players on my level) with the strongest decks. Here is some suggestions, on how to improve the Ranked Mode:

-Separate Ranking and Points. Make it so that points will be given passively by playing the game, similar to how PTCGO handled things. You can reset the point system monthly and give players gameplay items, booster packs, cards etc. without affecting the ranked queue system. Then you turn the ranking system into something that you have to actually work your way up to.

-Split Ranking into two Parts: Player and Deck Ranking. If you're a high level player, but you play a new deck, drop into a lower bracket of matchmaking and work your way up from there. Prevent players from having to play against Fun-Decks at high level of play, when they want to improve their skills without having to play offline.

-Make Seasons longer. Now that players have a resettable way of gaining items as well as a good way to train on decks, make the seasons equal to the battle passes. This way MMR resets whenever a new set releases, perfect to adjust your decks to the new meta.

I have been collecting for a few months and decided to redeem all my live codes and begin playing the actual card game. I have only played for a week or so, and I can barely reach 100 points. I have minimal cards and barely understand the full rules or strategy behind the game, yet I often find myself playing people who have full meta decks and are 500+ Ranked points higher than me. What is the point of a ranked system if they are just going to place me against someone who is way above my level? Is it just a lack of low-ranked points players in the pool, or just a bad ranked system? Either way, I don't think I have played one player at my rank, and it has completely turned me off from playing the game.

Been collecting for a while, so decided to start playing, thought this would be a good intro to learn. So I can barely rank out of 100 points because most of the players I'm put up against in RANKED are 500+ points higher than me with full meta decks, while I'm still trying to learn the game and have very limited decks besides pre-built. No way this is the best attempt to implement ranked. Casual is no safe haven either. I just wanted to learn the game, and after a week or so of playing and getting bodied by full meta decks, there is no point.

i want the same thing my friend, best bet is to play against people that you know in real life and add them as friend, make friends in real life competition ask for their name in ptcg live and play constantly with them to improve your games. thats the only advice i can give to a newer recent player. (i already play since base set)

@WaserAdept Indeed, actually TCG Live now doesn't have a "Ranked Ladder".

They even announced here that they've shifted focus, moving towards a "Seasonal Ladder" structure with different goals, like rewarding engagement and learning the game, rather than solely punishing rank drops, making it feel less like a strict "ladder" and more of a rotating challenge system, though some users still call it "Ranked Ladder" but the official name it's "Seasonal Ladder".

If they wanted a real ranking system they would have done it long ago... players have asked for it since release. The direction they want to go it's clear… so you should lower your hopes about that.
