Why are all the animations so fast? And the UI is horrendous.

Been playing the beta on my phone and didn't really notice the graphical side of it since everything is so small on the phone anyway (a whole other post). On a computer monitor everything is so much more glaring and goodness everything moves across the screen so fast. Why? The beginning of the game during set up, the Victory/Defeat text, the cards popping up when they're clicked on, just every single animation. Also, the game interface looks futuristic like I'm on a spaceship and I don't like feeling like that when I'm playing Pokémon. The cards themselves are horrible to try and look at them because they don't look like a Pokémon card at all. The bubble blocks for all the card text and not letting me see the actual card for the active pokémon is very frustrating. The orientation of the game as well is weird and not realistic. My opponents cards are not facing me in real life so do not face them towards me in the online game either. The transition from playing in real life to the online game should feel very closely related and it does not. Can we please get rid of the focus on avatars as well? The facial expressions, the intro, game summary, and victory section they add no value to the game and I wish I could turn it off and just pick my favorite pokémon instead to display.

An option to turn off all the unnecessary animations would be a great improvement. The cards need higher definition as well so you don't have to squint to see them.

The animations are so fast now because one of the big complaints is that game operations in a turn take so long with all of the unnecessary movement, animations, clicking, and dragging. So, instead of actually solving the real issue and eliminating unneccesary animations and cutting down useless actions in a turn, they just sped up the animation for in between card movements. I guess it was the easiest thing to do to speed up turns.

    At least that's my theory.
