I know I've heard the name Hisui before. I've heard it multiple times before. Specifically from two people. Plus the more I look at Laventon the more I know I've seen him before. I groan.

Why can't I remember? Dramatic gasp! No! Did Arceus get its way!? No, no, no! I think harder. So hard my brain hurts. Blonde hair and black outfit with a Garchomp. Blue hair wearing a crop top and was a photographer. Purple hair with glasses and a kinda cowboy attire.

"That's right," I exclaim, stopping my walk. Laventon turns around and looks at me, confused.

"What," he asks. Seeker chirps at me, also confused.

"Sorry. I remembered some stuff," I say, continuing down the path. The Professor follows along. "Cynthia taught me about Hisui," I recount. I chuckle. "I love the woman, but it annoys me that she can't go more than five minutes without giving me a history lesson. She told me about Hisui being ancient Sinnoh," I look around, remembering the paintings she showed me. Looks just like them.

"Perrin gave me a Hisuian Growlithe, which I evolved into Hisuian Arcanine. Completely different than the version I'm used to. This time has regional variants like Alola, Galar, and Paldea. It's pretty cool."

"That's what I'm studying," Professor Laventon exclaims excitedly. "I want to figure out how different environments effect Pokémon evolutions!"

"That sounds fun," I say and he nods. "Now I remember your name, too. I had went to a school in Paldea and I learned about you creating the Pokéball and Pokédex. Impressive stuff."

Laventon smiles with pride. "Yes I am quite proud of those. The Pokéball took a lot of work to make."

I nod. "You know Pokéballs from my time are completely different than what you made. Ours work electronically."

Laventon tilts his head curiously. "Electronically? What's that?"

"Hard to explain. Um-" I was cut off by the Professor shoving by me.

"There's the Jubilife Village," he says. As I meet his side I see a tiny village of a couple homes with a giant building in the center. "Don't worry, they're going to welcome you with wide-open arms!"

I've never felt more welcome, I think sarcastically. As I walk down the street everyone just glares at me. They side eye me. They point at me and whisper.

You know what I do?

I own it

I wear this hatred with pride. I strut down the street, winking and pointing at people with finger guns as they insult me with their eyes. I chuckle as a woman rushes her child out of the street as pass.

"Their arms are so wide I slip right out of them," I say, waving at the child. Laventon laughs nervously, glancing around.

"So I may have forgotten that they don't like newcomers," he says with a sigh. "But I'm sure they'll warm up to you!"

I nod as we pass more judgy people, which I proudly stick my tongue out at. "So how far are we going to walk," I ask him. "Everything looks the same so I doubt it was for the sights."

"The Galaxy Expedition Team," Laventon said it like I should have known. I nod.

"Ah, yes. Mhm, mhm. The Galaxy Expedition Team, of coarse. I know exactly what that is," I respond, my sarcasm strong. Laventon chuckles.

"Sorry. I thought it would still exist in your time," he responds.

"I had a Team Galaxy where I'm from. They were villains. I stopped them," I say with an arrogant smile.

The Professot's eyes widen and he shakes his head. "No, no! The Galaxy Corp keeps peace."

"Peace," I ask, remembering Arceus told me to find peace. "Peace for what?"

"The Diamond Clan and Pearl Clan," Laventon responds. "The Pearls think that Space should be used wisely and the Diamonds think they have all the Time in the world. They disagree over their god "Almighty Sinnoh" with one thinking it favors space and the other thinking it prefers time."

"Well actually there are two separate beings for that, Palkia being Space and Dialga is Time," I say. Laventon looks at me with a confused expression.

"How would you know," he questions. I smirk.

"I've battled, beaten, and caught them," I reply, saying it like it's no big deal. Laventon's jaw drops.

"You've caught legends before," he asks, his voice filled with awe. I just nod.

"I told you I completed the Pokédex. That includes the Mythicals and Legendaries,"

Laventon gasps. "Wait until Cyllene hears that! She'll let you into the Survey Corp, no doubt!"

"Survey Corps," I ask. "I though this was the Galaxy Expedition Team."

"It's a branch of it. This will let you go out into the field," the Professor explains. I nod along, looking at the giant building in front of me. It's the biggest building in the village as well as a different color. Totally the Team base.

"You go over there and get some food. Tell Beni you're with me. He'll serve you. I need to talk to Captain Cyllene," Laventon says, leaving me and entering the building.

"I am hungry," I say, walking towards the place Laventon pointed at. As I approach I see an old man who, like everyone else, is glaring at me. I smile as I walk up to him.

"Laventon told me to tell Beni that I'm with Laventon. So if you could tell me where he is, I would appreciate that. I'm starving," I explain, rubbing my hands together.

The man rolls his eyes at me. "I'm Beni, bit I ain't serving no outsider," he snaps, walking inside his restaurant.

"That's fine," I shrug. "I'm sure I can find somewhere else with much better food than this lousy excuse of a shop."

Beni turns around angrily, glaring just as I wanted. "You saying my place is bad," he shouts more as a statement than a question. I

I smirk smugly. "No, no,: I say in fake innocents, waving my hands and shaking my head. I then smile widely. "I strongly implied it."

"Why I oughta," Beni raises his hand ready to swing. I stand there and just stare at him expectantly (I've taken worse). He's just about to do it but a girl walks up.

"Don't do that! He may be an outsider, but that doesn't mean you need to beat him," she says, glaring at me. "I'm sure can kick him out peacefully."

I laugh. "No way! I'm not going away without a fight!" I swipe my hair back and gesture my head at Seeker. "And you should know I've never lost and I don't plan to now." Seeker chirps confidently in agreement. The girl looks at Seeker like she just noticed it.

"You just let those things roam around with you," she says with shock. I just look at Seeker.

"Yes. Why wouldn't I? It's my Pokémon," I say, petting Seeker on the head and it trills happily. "I did it all the time when I was where I came from."

"Where are you from," she asks curiously.

"The future," I reply bluntly. Her eyes widen with disbelief.

"What? How," she asks.

"Our new friend will tell us all about that over dinner," Laventon says, walking over to us with a woman following behind him. She has a glare, but it's not at me. I think it's just her face. She wears a blue coat with with a blue skirt with leggings and blue shoes. She has blue hair and a horrible hairline. She looks just like a female Cyrus.

"You must be Cyllene," I say, offering a hand with a smile. She just stares at me.

"Captain Cyllene," she clarifies. "You claim to be from the future and have done great feats but no evidence to prove it."

She continues to glare at me. I'm not one to be intimidated, but something about being around her is off-putting. I don't let my discomfort show, putting on my signature ego. "I am the proof," I say, pointing my thumbs at myself. "But if you require more I'd be happy to prove my worth in any way requested," I finish with a mock bow.

"Then you will do a trial tomorrow to show that you are what you are as great as you claim to me," she states, her eyes narrowing in on me slightly. Everyone around me except Laventon gasps.

The Professor nods. "Seems completely reasonable, Captain." I nod in agreement.

"I'll pass it with flying colors," I remark. Cyllene nods with a "Hmph" and goes into the diner.

"Table for three, Beni," Laventon exclaims and I look over at the old man with a smug smile.

"Yeah, Beni. Three," I emphasize. Beni glares at me and grumbles but walks into the restaurant.

"So I see you've met Akari. Let's have a proper talk now, yes," the Professor says, looking between me and Akari. We nod in agreement.

A few hours later

"So you're really not lying," Akari asks with awe as I finish my tale, showing her the Arc Phone.

"I'm not," I say, pocketing the phone. I glance over and see Beni looking at me with shock. I smile proudly.

"So tomorrow is your trial," Akari says.

"And I'm gonna nail it," I say confidently. Laventon nods in agreement.

"You'll do just fine, my boy," he states happily, giving me a smile and thumbs up.

Akari sighs and shakes her head. "You two are too optimistic," she grumbles.

I shake my head. "I'm not optimistic. I'm self confident. There's a difference."

Cyllene comes walking out of the diner and looks at me. "You will stay here in the village tonight. If you succeed in your trial you'll continue to live here. If you fail you'll be forced to leave and live out there, where the wild will determine your fate, which will likely be death," she says to me.

"I could easily survive out there but I will accept your generosity, Captain," I say, standing up and smiling. She just continues to glare.

"You'll be staying there," she says, pointing at one of the many doors. I follow her point and find the one with my eyes. I nod when I do. She leaves me with Akari.

"See you tomorrow for your challenge," she says, waving as she walks off. I wave back.

"You've got this," Laventon says, patting my shoulder. I smile at him.

"I know. But I truly do appreciate your confidence in me," I tell him, being completely genuine. He smiles and walks to his place.

I sigh and head to my room of the night. As I lay in bed, I remember how tired I am. Arceus yanking me out of my sleep left me exhausted, but so much has happened I haven't had time to feel it. Seeker trills as it curls up in my arms. We quickly fall asleep, my last thoughts of the night being about how good it will feel to show everyone who they're dealing with.

Sorry for taking so long! I've had a busy weekend and also started a new Arceus profile to remember what events have happened.

I know Laventon didn't invent the Pokéball in the actual series, but I wanted to give it to him. There will probably be quite a bit of differences like that in future chapters, so sorry if that upsets anyone.

Anyways, hope y'all enjoy!
