I sigh as I lay down in bed, my Charizard, Char, curling up next to it. I hang pet Char gently as I wait for exhaustion to kick. That doesn't take long, my eye lids drooping, my hand stopping, and darkness hitting.

And from that darkness comes a light.

"Hey," I exclaim. "Turn that off! I'm trying to sleep!" I open my eyes and it is not my bedroom I see. I'm floating in a dark void with some sparkling lights surrounding me. Those aren't the light that's annoying me, though. Right in front of me is a blinding gold-ish white light with the entity Arceus as its source.

"Izzy," its voice echoes around. "I need you to-:

"Turn that light off and put me back in bed," I finish for it, my arms crossed. Areceus' head jolts backwards.

"Excuse me," it questions. Even though its face is not expressive, I can feel that glare a mother gives her child when it starts acting up. "Did you just cut me off?"

"Yes," I respond, my face blank and serious. "And your point is," I ask, purposely angering it more.

"Do you know what you're talking to," it asks me, obviously insulted. I just nod my head. It keeps going. "I am Arceus," it states, standing up straighter and taller, "the creator of every world, dimension, and time line, including all that lives in them."

"Yup," I respond. "And I'm Izzy. Champion of every region. Never lost a battle since the day I began my journey. Completer of the Pokédex," I smirk arrogantly and point my thumbs at myself. "Pretty much the greatest trainer that ever lived."

"I know this. That's why I chose you," Areceus responds with a voice that was as bored as I am tired (which is very).

I tilt my head. "Chose me for what," I ask, now interested in this conversation.

"No witty remark? I'm shocked," Arceus says with a non-existent smirk (seriously, what's with its face?).

I smile. "I have one. I just need some time to think of it. Now back to me being the Chosen One."

Arceus rolls its eyes (finally. It can move its face!). "I am sending you to the past."

"Why," I ask raising an eyebrow and straightening my body. "And what's in it for me?"

Arceus sighs with annoyance. "Why can't you be like any other human and just accept my quest?"

I just continue to stare at it expectantly. "Fine," it groans. "Someone is trying to destroy the world. What's in it for you is the life you live in. If you don't stop this person your future won't exist. Meaning you won't exist."

I finally drop my arms. "Oh," I look down at myself, suddenly aware of how fragile my existence is. "Tell me more."

Arceus makes a satisfied "Hmph" and I roll my eyes. "As I stated I will be sending you to the past to save the world from a monster." I nod my head, following along. "You'll bring peace to two fighting clans." Easy. I'm great at negotiating. "And you'll do it all without your memories."

I freeze. "I'm sorry, what?"

"I'm going to wipe your memories," Arceus states bluntly. I laugh.

"No you ain't," I shout.

"Yes, I am," it responds. "It has to be done."

"We'll see," I say with a mischievous smirk.

"Right," Arceus says, and by its tone it obviously doubts me. That just makes me smirk wider. "I'll also be giving you this phone," it says.

"What phone," I ask. Right as I say it, an eye-killing flash happens. "Ow," I yell, rubbing my eyes. Once I can see again, I look at the floating phone. I grab it.

"That one," Arceus responds arrogantly. I roll my eyes.

"People say I'm self-centered. You bring it a whole new level," I say, observing the Arceus case. It rolls its eyes. "You must not be sending me that far back if I'll have electricity and Wifi."

"There won't be. This runs on divine power and can only communicate with me," it says, watching me scroll through it.

"Anything else," I ask, pocketing the phone.

"Nope," it says. "Ready to forget your old life?"

I chuckle and shake my head. "You don't get it. I'm hard headed. The more you try to make me forget, the more I'll hold on to my memories. You literally can't take them!"

Arceus scoffs. "Sure," it says. "Safe travels."

Suddenly, the mystical force I'm floating disappears. I scream as I drop to whatever is below me. I black out somewhere along the way.

"You're alive," I hear a voice say. I stir lightly and groan as I feel massive pain in my head.

"Dropping me on the head won't make me forget," I mutter, slowly opening my eyes slowly. When I fully open them, I see a man standing above me, an intrigued expression on his face as he looks over me. I jolt, sitting straight up. "Who are you?"

"I'm Professor Laventon," he replies, standing up and offering me a hand with a smile. "You."

I take his hand, pulling myself up. "Izzy."

Once up, I take a good look at the Professor. He has a purple hat that straps under his chin with a big white puff ball on the top. He's wearing a lab coat (makes sense for a professor) with a brown vest underneath it. He has a bow tie around his neck and brown and yellow striped pants. He seems kind and friendly just by his face.

I then look at my environment. We're on the beach with a crystal blue ocean ahead of us. I turn around. There's really not much to see. Just a semi-hilly terrain, a small pit of water, and a path leading away. In the distance I see a mountain, kind of like Mount Coronet in Sinnoh, but this doesn't look like anywhere I've been in Sinnoh.

"Where is this," I ask, still looking around trying to figure it out myself.

"Hisui," Laventon responds like it should be obvious.

I raise an eyebrow and spin around. "Where," I ask. That isn't a region I've heard of before.

"Hisui," the Professor responds with a laugh. "How could you not know," he asks, but then he looks at my head and a realization seems to dawn on him. "Oh, you're concussion. Might be a bit of memory loss."

I chuckle. "No way. Arceus ain't going to get that from me!"

Laventon tilts his head and furrows his eyebrows. "Wait, what about Arceus?"

I shrug. "Nothing much. Just that it blasted me back in time to stop something evil from destroying the space-time continuum."

Professor Laventon blinks a couple times. "S-So you're from the future," he asks, eyes wide. I nod. "Wow! I have so much to ask! But first-"

He just stops and looks around. "Um," look around with him. "You good?"

"My Pokémon," he suddenly yells.

"What," I ask, confused by this randomness.

"Oh I got some foreign Pokémon but when the Space-Time Distortion happened it scared them off. I need to find them!"

"Calm down, I got you," I say, putting my hand on my belt. "Me and Char will-" I freeze. I pat my belt. Nothing. I check the other side. Nothing. My jacket pockets. Nothing! "Whete's my Pokéballs?"

I see my backpack lying on the ground where I used to be laying. I rush over to it and start digging through it. "Are you okay," Laventon asks, watching me with concern.

"No," I exclaim. "Arceus took all my Pokémon!" I dig around more. "And my Z-Crystals!" I find my Tera Orb. "It left this, at least." I sigh. "But it's not charged! Without Terapagos this is useless!"

I zip up my bag and groan. I stand up and shoulder it. "It's fine. I'll find them the good old fashion way. On my own without Pokémon. So what Pokemon are we looking for?"

"They're called Cyndaquil, Rowlet, and Oshawott," he explains. "They look li-"

"I know. Trust me. I've completed the Pokédex. I know how they look," I say, as I begin to walk around, looking for the three.

"You have a Pokédex where you come from," the Professor asks, eyes wide with excitement.

I nod. "Yeah. Each region even has its own! I've done them all," I say with an arrogant smirk.

"That's amazing," Laventon exclaims with awe. "I'm actually making one myself! Nobody wants to help with it, though."

"Why," I ask as I check behind a bush.

"Because Pokémon are terrifying beasts," Laventon states like it's a well known fact and his face contorts into confusion when I laugh.

"Terrifying beasts? No way! Yeah, some are aggressive, but nothing bad," I respond as I check behind a giant rock.

"Would you do it," the Professor asks me and I turn to look at him. "You seem brave and it sounds like you have experience with them."

"Well I'm here for a reason but I don't mind helping out while I do," I say, grunting as I climb a small hill. I gasp. "Found them," I shout behind me. Laventon comes running up the hill, panting for air.

"Thank you, Izzy," he says, walking to my side. "If you're going to start catching Pokémon for me, you're going to need a Pokémon," he gestures to the three in front of me.

"Well since Arceus took all mine, so I'm gonna need it it," I say, looking at the the trio. Honestly, it's just a choice between Rowlet and Oshawott. "I'll go Rowlet," I say, picking it up. "I'm calling you Seeker," I tell it and it trills happily.

"Seeker," Laventon asks.

"Yeah, because Decidueye has perfect aim and seekers need perfect eye sight. It's sfro a future think called Harry Potter" I respond, Seeker chirping on my shoulder.

Laventon chuckles. "Well you're going to be surprised when it evolves."

"What do mean," I ask, looking at Seeker.

"You'll see," the Professor responds mysteriously. "Let's head to the village," he says, walking along a path away from the beach. I follow him, beginning my new journey in "Hisui."

Well this ended up being more than I meant. This feels like two chapters worth of words. Anyways, hope y'all like it. Things will start to slow down after the next chapter, so sorry in advance.
