Approval
How long does it take for them to approve my comments and discussions? I've had things I've done at 10-11 A.M and it's still waiting! It's almost 1 P.M, just in case this needs to be approved and takes forever, as well. I'm just wondering is there a specific amount of time?

It's never been entirely clear how the process works, what will trigger a post being held for approval (length, use of certain words, age/rank of account, etc.) and what (if anything) we can do to expedite the process.
In the past I have gone through periods where virtually every post I made was held for review for days on end. At other times, I have had no posts held at all, despite often making verbose and often highly critical posts.
I think it largely depends on the current system for holding posts (which affects how many the moderators will have in their approval queue) and which moderators are available and responsible for approving them, assuming there is a human element to the process at all.
Unless a mod or admin deigns to enlighten us and tell us how the process works and how to avoid triggering the approval process, all I can say is try to avoid making repeat posts if your original one is being held and be patient. It rarely takes more than a day lately.
