I saw ads for the original 150 in the Beano (a UK/Ireland comic) which made me curious. Then my brother and I got a Gameboy colour each - he took blue, I took red. We had a link cable. The rest is history

I missed out on the 3rd gen due to university but caught up from platinum onwards.

Haven't gotten AZ yet as no switch2

I was probably around 8 or 9 when my dad first bought me and my siblings Pokeman tgc starter decks. I got the Blastoise deck. I remember spreading the whole deck across the carpet and just being fascinated with the characters on the cards.

I was also first introduced to Pokémon from toys at McDonalds when I was a kid.

I got into Pokemon when I started drawing a few. My first few ones that I remembered drawing were Pikachu, Piplup, Zubat, and of course, Jigglypuff! It encouraged me to draw more and more varieties of Pokemon, and eventually I played a few Pokemon games when I got my Switch Lite, the very first game playing was Sword, and I loved it!

I first got into Pokemon when I watched the anime Pokemon Indigo League that inspired me a lot and I really wanted to be a Pokemon Master.

First, I saw Pokémon when there was the 'new fairy type'. I lost interest for a little, but when I was about seven my cousin showed me GO, and another older friend showed me the starters for the newest Pokémon game at that time- Sword. I saw Scorbunny, called him Scorchbunny, and the rest is history

I remember my brother and I each getting a Pokemon DS game for Christmas one year. I can't remember which one he got, but I had a Pokemon Rangers game. I liked it at first, but then I got stuck on a really difficult part and it made kid me very frustrated, so I stopped playing for a long time. I picked up where I left off years later, and finally made it to the end (I think). We both also started collecting Pokemon cards around that time too. We didn't know how to play, we just liked the art on the cards. 😆

Hi everyone! I'm a bit old school but only really started collecting the TCG a year ago and playing Unite, TCG Pocket, and TCG Live all on mobile a few months ago. I've watched the anime off and on over the years too. (And now have a few plushies and fav battle figures also)

Why do I then say I'm old school? Well, my first experience with Pokemon was way back in 1997 (or maybe it was 1998)... I was in highschool, working at the local Burger King and we were doing a Pokemon promotion for the kid's meals. LOL, I remember trying to work the drive through when frantic or angry parents would demand we find and give them the Charizard or Pikachu toys, always stating that they needed it for their kid. The thing was, as the minimum wage workers that we were, we couldn't tell what toy was in the packets (I don't remember if they came in Pokeballs). So yep, I had to deal with those who just had to catch'em all.

Fast forward years later, and my husband found a bunch of gen 1 (and a few other gens) cards while cleaning out a U-Haul truck. His work tried contacting the last renter of the U-Haul, and they didn't want them. So he kept them and our kids became interested in the cards which led to me collecting and playing with them also. Now I'm hooked! Yep, definitely Got to Catch'em All!
