Okay; while this is the Unite section, I'll answer to the best of my Ability.

First thing you should know as a Masters player is that there is actually no way to "go up against your friends." There is no proper "PVP" battle content in that game, and I wouldn't expect there to be anytime soon.

So instead, I'll tell you some of the best sync pairs for clearing content.

Generally, the best sync pairs are Master Fairs and Arc Suits. Their kits are built with the express purpose of being among the most elite. You're gonna want to have coverage for every type, but some of the best pairs are the following:

Damage dealers: Neo Champion May and Shiny Primal Kyogre, Neo Champion Elio and Shiny Dusk Mane Necrozma, Neo Champion Selene and Shiny Dawn Wings Necrozma, Florian and Miraidon, Arc Suit Alder and Volcarona, Arc Suit Leon and Charizard, Neo Champion Cheren and Tornadus, Neo Champion Red and Articuno, and Red (Anniversary) and Tera Charizard.

Hybrid/Tech-style tactics: Arc Suit Cynthia and Garchomp, Kieran and Hydrapple, Sygna Suit Red (Thunderbolt) and Pikachu, Arc Suit Ethan and Lugia, Neo Champion Leaf and Moltres, Sygna Suit Elesa (Alt) and Thundurus, Neo Champion Brendan and Shiny Primal Groudon, Neo Champion Bianca and Virizion, Ethan and Ho-Oh, Sygna Suit Lear and Gholdengo, and Irida (Anniversary) and Tera Hisuian Typhlosion.

Support: Arc Suit Steven and Metagross, Arc Suit Silver and Ho-Oh, Neo Champion Blue and Zapdos, Carmine and Sinistcha, Neo Champion Rosa and Meloetta, Chase and Pikachu, Sygna Suit Mina and Tapu Fini, Gloria (Anniversary) and Tera Cinderace.

As a general rule for team building, look at what the stage is weak to and choose a damage dealer that beats that weakness. Then look at the stage's special requirements, such as if status conditions or field effects are necessary to win, and choose a pair that can ensure your main damage dealer does as much damage as possible, or even dishes out a respectable amount of damage themselves. Then tie it all together with a Support unit that can keep your team alive and functioning well. If your team needs a lot of gauge, choose one that boosts Speed or causes Move Gauge Acceleration. If your team keeps taking lots of damage, choose one that can bolster defenses and heal with Potion or other ways as necessary.
