I don't know who also deals with this issue as well, but whenever I try to use abilities, specifically the bottom ability, I can't fully reach the maximum distance when aiming downward. The horizontal ability placement could be better for customization on mobile. They should honestly make it to where you can put whatever in-battle GUI anywhere on the screen like PUBG, or MOST mobile games.
