Too much frustration with the game

Options

I've been playing the game ever since the change from the original, and it feels like the last couple of years, on at least an emotional level, that this game has sucked all of the good out of me every time I play it. For too long, I keep getting forced into a losing streak, no matter what deck I used (bought, given or built from scratch), it feels like I'm being led to a slaughter.

To provide a few examples, I would either be given only a pokemon that is so weak, and nothing else of use, while my opponent is able to spend a few minutes to flex their muscles before delivering the only blow to the game. Even if I go second, I will end up drawing a card that is completely worthless, even worse if that card allows me to get extra ones, only to strike out worse.

Another example would be me getting a full bench of pokemon, but they end up becoming sitting ducks, due to each draw not producing anything of use, such as energy cards. Even after shuffling a bunch of times, the draws end up leading to nowhere. I'm just forced to take some kind of punishment, without being allowed to fight back.

And with things like the daily quests, and all these events, it feels like it's adding more salt to the wounds. Like the cards required to complete the quests, they become harder to access, since they either stay buried deep in the deck no matter what or end up as a prize card. With the events, it makes things worse when it seems like you are required to play certain cards, in order to stand remotely close of a chance of winning, like with the eevee cards, and the current one.

Finally, it feels like the players I'm going up against, is being less and less random, to where I'm feeling like I'm fighting the same ones over and over again, as if I'm stuck in a loop, even the same person multiple times in a row. And they are somehow capable of destroying me, with me not being allowed to up any kind of fight, with what feels like every card being intercepted before I could fully use them, sometimes before I draw them. As if I have been fighting a bunch of bots set on super hard mode or something, where I have to either take the beating, or surrender.

There are even times where some players I go up against seem to have similar luck as I do. To where we are both just throwing out cards onto the field, waiting to be used, while the decks are just throwing out cards that just don't fit situation, until somebody gives up.

The game stopped being fun quite a while ago and feels more it took a big turn for the worse, with all of these upgrades making thing even more each time. So, I'm going to take a long vacation from TCGO, and focus on the Pokemon games on the Switch for now, such as New Pokemon Snap.

I understand you, the game had a lot of potential but was poorly managed and developed...

So after this long it's still garbadge. Also yes, there is clearly a mechanic that will make it easier to win when you win a lot, and will make it harder to win when you win a lot.

@GrewupGeek I agree with you, an said the same before as well. One sided matches that usually lead to me just quitting an then not playing. Can run a deck full of basic pokemon an somehow keep taking mulligans. Then give me the one single card that i dont want to start with! Then turn after turn with no support or energy. And like you said, the other player will end up getting every card they need. Forces me not to play.

Last couple days i have tried playing a few matches. Just ridiculous an annoying. Mulligans an mulligans constantly. Keep starting off with same cards in my hand. Going round after round without pulling any support cards or anything to help me. After taking 7th an 8th turn an still nothing. Going through half my deck an not being able to evolve any of my pokemon or gain energy to attack. Or i finally get a card to evolve an draw some cards or start building, an NOPE! My stage 1 an 2 pokemon i need are locked in prize cards. Like come on.

Had one match that opponent an myself were just stuck going back an forth with our benches full and unable to evolve. Think it was on my 12th turn i was able to evolve. Then even with 2 on my bench allowing me to look at 2 cards an choose 1, still!!!! Still wasnt able to draw a supporter i needed. An i have them stacked in my deck to increase chances of pulling them. Match after match! Starting off with 1 pokemon, thats usually not one for attack. Not the one i want in active spot. I know im not always going to get a good hand. But to literally keep getting dealt hands like this! Start of with multiple night stretchers an energy retrievals, 1 pokemon...3 of the 8 energies in my deck!! Then get dealt energy in next 3 turns.… Feel like im not playing against another player an more like the games rng loop. Months an months of saying this an it just gets worse.
