Coming back after 15 years only to be disapointed by Live

I recently got back into the TCG and went to install Online which I found to have been replaced by Live.
The first thing I noticed was that it's easy to see what your opponents are doing unless you already know the cards, as there is not much time to read your opponent's cards, this makes it not great for newcomers. Having a better summary of effects as they happen would go a long way to fix this problem.
The biggest annoyance, however, are the avatars that are forced upon you. They are just too smug looking and even when I win I get annoyed by the showboating at the end of the match. Please make the presence of avatars optional. I don't want an avatar bragging on my behalf if I win, it's poor sportsmanship and has no place in this game.
During a couple of matches I also get annoyed with the emotes from my opponent which seem to serve no purpose other to be annoying. I found I could turn them off but on starting a new match they are on again meaning I have to proactively switch them off every game.
The avatar functions are not really something that is required for this game and should be completely optional.

I share the same disappointment... after this long the old gone TCG Online was still superior in many aspects like... game play, available formats/mods, in-game tournaments, really challenging in-game events, allowed trading, global ranking table by country/seasson/month/week (even being in the oficial web page better than not having any ranking table at all), had a real card collection, deck builder with evolution tree, you could really enlarge cards to read/view better, no bugs and was way more fun.
Even the TCG Live mobile app (that aparently was the focus of Live development) is unplayable, unless you want to fry your phone battery.
