Pokémon Story: Lost Hope Chapter 1

It has been three years since I rescued Hope, I have been living with him in Shalour running a Pokémon sanctuary. I still don’t know what he is, but he should be safe here. Two years ago Team Flare went under, taking the town of Geosenge with it and with Flare gone the memory of his hunt seemed to have vanished as well. We have been living a peaceful life here, Hope has gotten close to me. He is really a good Pokémon, he gets along with the others. He did have it rough initially, as he was wary of trusting other Pokémon after his bad experiences. I think what really broke him out of his shell was about two and a half years ago when a wounded Litleo came in. The Litleo was just like Hope was before I rescued him, huddled in a corner thinking he is alone in all of this. Hope went to the Litleo and just lied down with him, showing that he too was like him. He knew how to handle the Litleo better than I could and showed to that Pokémon that he is not alone in this. Ever since then the Litleo has recovered and stayed at the sanctuary and has been quite close to Hope.

I decided to watch some TV, it was getting quite late and some of the Pokémon knew that it was TV time. I turned it on and it seemed that the news was left on from last night. Hope sits next to me ready to watch some TV.

An anchorwoman was reporting this. “This new organization is called the Plasma Alliance, they claim their goals is to rebuild the world.” She shows a photo of the members, and they seem awfully familiar. “Sources say that they are an alliance between three past criminal organizations, Team Galactic, Team Plasma, and Team Flare, but have claimed to change their ways. They claim to want to help remake the world into one where Humans and Pokémon can co-exist together.”

It seems they are doing some sort of special, this will be interesting to see. Last week they did a special on the different personalities of Rockruffs, it was very cutesy and Hope really enjoyed it.

The reporter shows another image, one of the three leaders of the Plasma Alliance. He has an odd blue futuristic suit with a yellow tie and an emblem on his jacket suit pocket that has an oddly drawn “G”. “The First head of the organization is known as Chairman Pluto who is known as a former member of the Infamous Team Galactic of Sinnoh. During the dissolution of Team Galactic after the disappearance of their leader Cyrus, there was a power struggle between the four Commanders of the organization. During that struggle Captain Pluto seemed to have risen up and defeated the four commanders while they were too distracted with each other. After absorbing what was left of Team Galactic, he set out to create a new, larger organization seeking for peace and unity among the world”.

I remember hearing about Team Galactic years ago, they tried to come to Kalos through some sort of hostile takeover in the west, but they didn’t get that far. But whatever, doesn’t really concern me to be honest.

The reporter then shows another image of a rather tough looking man dressed like some sort of mercenary. He had an eye patch, a black military vest with blue accents and military camo pants. On the left front pocket there was an emblem of a medieval shield with a P and a Z. “The Second Head of the organization, Chairman Aaron, was a former member of Team Plasma. During his time as a Lieutenant during their resurgence he was nicknamed “The Force of Nature”, pulling extreme stunts that were reckless yet effective. His most well known stunt that got him recognition by their leader Ghetsis was during a resistance by some townsfolks in a small town near the Relic Castle, Aaron came charging in a bulldozer overcharged by a horde of Joltic effectively blazing through the town and giving him a direct path to the Relic Castle. After Team Plasma was disbanded Aaron joined Pluto’s efforts in peace and unity and quickly became one of the leaders of the organization. By then the organization would be renamed to the Plasma alliance with the arrival of the final Leader”.

This guy seems completely insane, how can a man like that ever choose something like peace. This seems more like the rise of a new criminal enterprise rather than a charity!

The reporter showed the final member of the organization. I look at him and am stuck with fear, I can feel Hope shiver. The anchorwoman breaks the silence “The Third Chairman of this organization is Chairman Mathias. From what sources say he was initially working in Alola under a survey mission for Team Flare before it disbanded but after Team Flare disbanded, he created a new chapter of the organization based in Alola. He then returned to Kalos and joined forces with Chairman Pluto and Chairman Aaron, being a pioneer of peace in the region with the movement towards more sustainable and efficient energy and food production.”

That was no doubt the same man that I had confronted three years ago, the one that had hurt Hope. How can a despicable man like that preach for peace when all he cares about is power! I just gotta pray that he forgets about us and leaves us alone, for Hope’s sake.

I awake in a pool of sweat. I have barely been able to sleep after what I saw last night. Every time I close my eyes I am reminded of what happened three years ago. I have to get over it, for Hope’s sake.

Not long has passed since I saw that special on the TV. Me and Hope were a bit spooked, but the peace helped us cope with it. There are rumors that the Plasma Alliance got a contract from the city to install some new solar panels or something, I don’t know exactly but I don’t want them in this city. Not much is happening, Litleo found some odd stones in the back with these shapes of elements. They are cool so I put them in the display cabinet which Litleo really liked seeing. It seems Litleo wants to go to the beach so might as well, me and Hope could use the swim.
