This is just what I always do, but I assign a team I'm going to have at the end of the game, and I can't use another Pokémon on my team unless they're that Pokémon or a pre-evo. Also, because I have a guidebook for X and Y, I challenged myself to only be allowed to use the same number of Pokémon as the gym leader, and I was playing with the first rule I mentioned. The hardest battle was then Viola, actually, because I had Fennekin as a starter, and no other Pokémon. Would've been worse with Chespin though.

This is the first time that you talk to another moderator (such as @Mod_Ginger), so how did you feel?

I’m doing a challenge I’m calling the Arc Dex (Partially cause I first tried it in Legends Arceus). I’m trying to get a living national dex, as well as have one pokemon of each gender (even the ones without dimorphism!), and of each different form. I’m about 3/4 of the way through the base game Violet Pokédex right now - hopefully I can get the rest of the challenge done before October!

When I did my second run of Pokemon Black I limited my team Pokemon to only mons I would use in a dream team to the point where I only got my 6th Pokemon near the end of the main story (wanted a good water type so I made sure to hunt for that fossil for Carracosta). It was a very picky run.
