Tera Pokemon Bench Protection

While playing marnies grimsnarl deck I have noticed four times where pikachu ex and flareon ex have the new shaymin ability stating "as long as this pokemon is on your bench, prevent all damage done to this pokemon by attacks" Everytime there has not been a shaymin in play and the ability pope's up as the respected pokemons ability.

That text is literally apart of the Tera pokemon card mechanic. It has no bearing on shaymin being printed and has been on the cards since they were released in their respective sets.

Tera pokemon already did this. it's intentional. It's written on the physical card next to where it says it's a tera pokemon.

Shaymin wouldn't even protect these cards, as it doesn't protect pokemon ex.
