Was my opponent cheating?

I just played a match against a hops zacian ex hop deck. I was using a pokemon with x2 weakness against metal. My opponent was using his brave slash without enough energy to use it, and he used it every turn but the move says "during your next turn, this pokemon cant use brave slash". So two things i couldnt understand even tho i inspected all his cards. All his abilities and trainer cards just added 30 dmg to hop pokemon but didnt explain. Any help please, can people cheat?

It would help if you kept battle log of that match.

Also if you would pay more attention, or actually spend time inspecting cards in your own Hop's Zacian ex deck, you would learn that there are cards in play that can reduce the number of energy needed for attack, and those that increase damage.

First, there is Hop's Choice Band, that reduce the cost of attack by one energy, and do 30 more damage.

Second, there is Postwick stadium card, that make attack do 30 more damage, and

Last, Hop's Snorlax have Extra Helpings ability that add 30 more to attack of hop's pokémon.

If all three of those cards are in play, Hop's pokémon can do 90 more damage than usual, and their attacks will cost one less energy card.

Another thing is that Brave Slash limit apply only to that one Zacian ex who used the attack.

If your opponent used Brave Slash, then switched place with another Zacian ex on bench, the other one that was just placed into active spot can use Brave Slash that round.

If he didn't switched with another Zacian ex, and still used Brave Slash multiple times in row, then he was cheating.

That however shouldn't be possible since all the actions are performed on game's servers, not on each player's PC.
