I like Pokémon ranger and have been wanting a new title after playing the original and guardian signs (ukulele pichu) they are really fun titles and wondering if pokemon will have any interest of reviving the franchise for a newer generation

I think most they will do is re-release the old titles for the switch online emulator, if they ever add a DS emulator to their services.

There were a lot of niché titles released on the DS and 3DS for a variety of franchises, and they have remained stuck there ever since.

The gimmick for Ranger was the second touch screen. I think it would take a Nintendo console gaining a similar gimmick, or a new gimmick that could apply to the Ranger series, to see a new release.

It's not impossible for them to release a new game without a gimmick, but then the question becomes, "why not release a regular Pokémon game and make all the money again?"

I don't think the environment is right to release a spin-off like Ranger right now.

I don't think we're getting a new game but I think a new game using the Switch 2's mouse joy cons instead of using the stylus and touch screen would be interesting and has a chance of happening if Pokémon remembers they have spinoff series on consoles and not just phones.

It's unlikely though, since mobile games make more money thanks to being free but having things you have to pay for (sometimes more than once).

The only games that would really benefit from the new switch controls are probably Resident Evil or something cause those really benefit from keyboard and mouse style controls.
I am thinking maybe a Pokemon MMORPG could be interesting to see cause it could be F2P, could give players a good reason to get Pokemon Home, and could possibly attract veteran players.
