Elesa's Sparkle can only put energy on benched pokemon

When you play Elesa's Sparkle It asks you to "Choose up to 2 Benched Pokemon" ....uhh thats not how the card works. Then you choose the 2 cards. Then you have to attach the energy to those 2 benched pokemon. I thought we already chose the pokemon. The game is now literally unplayable with all the broken parts.
