General Feedback
I know I'm probably talking to a wall since it's been years, but I just need to air my frustrations because I know there are a lot of people like me. I was a PTCGO veteran and I have online friends who I used to play with on there all the time. But ever since the game was sunset and TCG Live released, we haven't been able to play together at all because Standard is the only option for friend matches. We all have massive catalogs of cards on our accounts and used to have fun playing around with different deck ideas and battling each other with them in Unlimited and other formats. I understand that some people like Standard, but it's far too restrictive and I don't understand the logic of letting people play Expanded with randoms but not with friends.
We've had to resort to unofficial websites to not only play on, but build our decks with as well. I wish I could at least use Live as a deck buider, but cards that haven't been implemented yet can't be added to custom decks even though I have no intention of using them in game. The game already prevents us from using decks with illegal cards and those we don't own, so why can't it do the same with these so I can at least view and export them?
What's worse is I can't even enjoy this game as a solo experience anymore. In PTCGO I would spend 90% of my time in the Theme format online because I do not find it remotely fun when every opponent's deck is filled to the brim with overpowered rule box Pokemon. No disrespect to those who find the current meta fun, but why is there not a single option for more casual players? I know theme decks are apparently not a thing anymore, and implementing our older cards is apparently going to take an eternity, but can we at least have something? Some kind of Gym Leader Challenge or pauper-esque format to play on? If something like this existed, I would love to actually care about and participate in battle passes.
I miss this game so much. I miss buying packs and decks for it and playing with all the ones I've acquired over the years. I understand that maybe it's a small team who have their hands full with bugs and whatever else already, but if any of these things were implemented I could at least have a reason to log in besides the free cards. Please give me a reason to throw my money at you again.
