Why is dragapult ex attack damaging my teal mask ogerpon ex (tera) when it is benched? Tera pokemon don't take damage when benched (it says it on the card very clearly), so ?!WHY!?

Tera pokemon rule prevents damage from attacks done to benched Tera pokemon.
Dragapult puts damage counters on benched Pokemon... it isn't the same as damage from attacks. This (damage counters) allow Dragapult ex to bypass the bench protection Tera Pokemon have.
