Rare Card Trade with Different Language(s)

So, I battled a Japanese player in ranked and won. It was a great close game =)

I decided to send them a trade offer for Articuno Ex, and this morning I see they are trying to trade me a Gyarados EX (IN JAPANESE). If I accept, will it convert over into English or how does that work?

All in all, it’s a cute touch — even if you can’t use the cards in battles (the deck builder translates them back to your designated language).

Describing it as "even if you can't use the cards in battles" can be easily misunderstood.

You obviously can use the card, it's just that it will be displayed in the language that was selected in settings, instead of the language in which the card was obtained.

Also @ whoever moderate this section in community discussions:

Why my post in which I've answered to @GetGudBum's question got deleted? I wrote correct description of how the card language system work in PTCGP.

Maybe your previous post wasn't approved? Or it didn't register? Sometimes i click to quote someone and hit post comment. But it still post's without quoting. To be honest i copied my answer from the site that i have found. Didn't really know that cards in other languages get translated.

@BamBazoole That's not the case. It was approved.

It's just that sometimes when I edit my post to correct typo or add some detail I've forgot to mention, the edit have to be approved again, but whole post will get deleted instead.

It would make sense it the post stayed unaltered if the edit didn't made it trough approval for some unfathomable reason, since I've never posted anything detrimental. Why the whole post got deleted though?

I even asked about this on support section, but without any response.

    Back on topic:

Foreign language cards will display their original language only in card dex.

They however get translated in battle, to ensure that players do understand descriptions of attacks and abilities.
