I hate ranked AI

I don't know why this feature even exist. I find fighting bots humiliating, a waste of time, and extremely dull. I would very much prefer waiting a whole minute and having a human opponent.

Played 2 games and decided to quit during the middle of the second, boring and pointless beyond belief. How do you mess up a mode that’s so easy to implement

Add some AI matches in Ultraball Rank, it takes an exaggerated amount of time to climb to Masterball Rank.

Or the ranked AI bots can be more capable — with slightly ratcheted up algos each rank / level. At the lowest rank, the pokemon were almost random and the energy didn't even match, and so the matches were even easier than matches played when a person first signs up for the game.

I agree that as you get higher, even at Great Ball, it can take a very long time to get anywhere, especially with losing points (and levels) with losses. There are a lot of good players out there, and with new expansions, FTP players will not have the new cards for quite some time, and with randomness on top of that, it's just not fun or worth slugging it out.
