I named my Absol Whisper after the Sonic the Hedgehog character Whisper the wolf. I had this whole process: I was thinking: Absol is a guardian. And when it Mega evolves it looks like an angel. Like a guardian angel. Like Whisper. Actually, Whisper is a cool name. Plus Mega Absol's fur over the eye looks like her. So… Whisper.

I like to name my Pokemon using complicated logic.

For example, I catch a Pikachu. Ash has a Pikachu. Ash sounds like Hash. Hash browns are sides. French fries are also sides. France is a country in Europe. There is a moon called Europa. Europa is cold. Antarctica is cold.

Therefore, the Pikachu is named Antarctica.
