So you are using Link Trade on your Pokémon game, and you are trying to trade a Pokémon to get it to evolve, right? A random person offers a random Pokémon to give you in exchange for your Dubious Disc Porygon2. When you try trading back, they close Link Trade, and the Porygon-Z you deserved is gone forever. If you encountered this, that means you were trading with a SCAM TRADER. Scam traders are constantly stealing your Pokémon so you can cry about the Pokémon they kidnapped. Here’s some tips for avoiding scam traders.

  1. If they offer a shiny immediately, or a legendary Pokémon you want, close Link Trade immediately.
  2. If they are offering a Pokémon, but keep going back to selection to offer it again, leave.

Mostly, they leave without trading at all, but it still shows they’re scammers. Tell me if you encountered one before.
