Pull Rates on new set at 100% nerfed

I just spent 99 on PokéGold and got absolutely nothing. No major hits, just endless dupes. With the size of the new set and the brutal pull rates, it’s quickly killing the joy of the game for me.

It feels like the excitement of chasing rare cards is being replaced by frustration. Is anyone else experiencing this? Do you think they need to adjust the odds, or is this just the way the game is going?

    the pull rates are the same it probably just you getting very unlucky in a free to play player and already have 7 cards over 2 star

    Acquisition is really depressing.

    • There's no guaranteed three diamond or above drop in a pack - so often times you don't get a rare and as far as I can tell there's no pity timer for successive low value packs. It makes opening packs feel really bad - as there's pretty much nothing but garbage commons.
    • There's also no dupe protection at any point. I'm stuck with the same cards over and over and over. I have 9 togekiss but zero magnezone - even though they theoretically have the same drop rate.
    • Full art cards take up the rare slot even though most of the full art cards are trash commons like squirtle or rapidash.
    • Trading is awful and does nothing to help the acquisition problem.
      • One trade at a time
      • no way to ask for a specific card
      • Consumable items (made from destroying cards that could be traded) are required in addition to a stamina bar.
    • Pack points are painful. The only way to get them is to open packs - but its 100 packs per Ex card. F2P players get 2.333 packs per day - meaning they get about 70 packs per month - so 350 points. That's less than Ex card every month. With premium you wind up getting 100 packs a month - giving you exactly 500 points in a 30 day month.

    What I'd like to see instead is this:

    • Pity timer for Ex cards. Guaranteed rare drop after a certain number of packs.
    • Trading Improvements:
      • Do away with trade tokens. Players can only trade cards of the same rarity. The only point is to lock players out of trading.
      • Multiple trade requests at a time. 3 would be fine.
    • Destroy duplicates into pack points. 3 commons into pack points based on their rarity. For example three 1 diamond cards become 1 pack point and 3 four diamond cards become four packpoints. this would go a long way into giving players the extra boost to pick up a few extra cards over the year.
