Does anyone think my idea for a ranked team is good? By the way no legends

Ok so my team Idea is Metagross, Amoonguss, Rillaboom, Incineroar, Hitmontop and Azumarill
Any thoughts?

I would replace hitmontop with chincinno because it can learn toxic and triple axel, and can stall. Metagross is good with hard press and heavy slam, and you would want intimidate, parting shot, u turn, taunt, and snarl or flare blitz on Incineroar. (With mirror herb to stop defiant). You can't really improve on the other 2. Just don't have superpower on Azumarill without white herb

Okay, so I'll start by saying, I'm no master at this. Heck, I haven't even watched any championships. While I have learned a thing or two over my five years of playing, you should still take my thoughts with a grain of salt. Also note that this is assuming it's a Generation IX team. Onto my analysis:
Starting with Metagross, being a pseudo-legendary, it's already a tough Pokémon. A base stat total of 600 is pretty big, especially for a non-legendary. Out of all Pokémon, excluding Legendary Pokémon, Mythical Pokémon, and Mega Evolutions, that's only beaten by Wishiwashi's School Form, Ash-Greninja, Palafin's Hero Form, and Slaking. A good chunk of that goes into Attack and Defense, giving it some pretty good bulk. Of course, base stats aren't everything. Still, if you max out the Defense stat and put Iron Defense on it, in three turns, it can take very little damage from physical attacks, with its Defense getting up to 1576. Use Body Press, too, and you've got yourself an incredibly defensive Pokémon with massive damage output. You can even top it off with a Fighting Tera Type, to give that a 1.5x damage boost. Clear Body is probably better for it than Light Metal, considering how few cases it's useful for a Pokémon to be light. Plus, Clear Body prevents opponents from lowering its Defense.
Amoonguss can be pretty useful, depending on the situation. You can use Spore to put the target to sleep, or you can use Toxic to badly poison it. Having its Ability as Effect Spore can also give the opponent a status condition, but relies more on luck unlike Spore or Toxic. The important thing about these is that Amoonguss can run Spore-Hex or Toxic-Hex, allowing it to unleash a 130 power move with no downsides, and you can effectively boost that to 195 by Terastallizing it into a Ghost-type.
Rillaboom is a good choice, and it has pretty high HP and Attack. You can make up for its relatively low Speed with Grassy Surge and Grassy Glide. A Choice Band can help make it even stronger, but at the cost of only being able to use one move each time it switches in. Additionally, a Ground-type move covers two of its five weaknesses, namely Fire and Poison. Earthquake is a strong physical Ground-type move, but its power would be cut in half by Grassy Terrain, thereby making High Horsepower a more preferable choice.
Incineroar also has pretty good bulk. Not quite as bulky as Rillaboom, but close to it. You can add on a Life Orb for lots of additional damage, while still being able to use multiple different moves. A Grass-type move gives it coverage over three of its four weaknesses, Ground, Rock, and Water! For that, it can learn Trailblaze, which, while only having 50 power, hits with physical damage and raises Incineroar's speed. Drain Punch can also be used so it can heal the damage from the Life Orb.
Hitmontop is an interesting choice. I don't think I've ever seen it on a team, but then again, I don't play competitive too much. Approaching half its movepool has under 60 power, but that lets it take advantage of Technician, giving all those moves a 1.5x boost. Additionally, some of these moves can be pretty good already, such as Fake Out and Triple Axel, so the attack boost can be pretty helpful with this.
Finally, Azumarill. A base stat total of 420 makes it the lowest of the bunch. Still, it can play a useful role. With moves like Encore and Light Screen, it can take on a support role, but it wouldn't be as ideal for that role as Pokémon like Clefable and female Indeedee. It can also take on an attacking role. With a base Attack stat of 50 and a base Special Attack of 60, both are pretty low, but if you give it Huge Power and max out its Attack, its physical moves will be hitting with 436 Attack. If you give it Belly Drum, Rest, and a Chesto Berry, you could make it even stronger, but with its low speed, this strategy may be less than ideal. It can have attacking moves such as Body Slam, Liquidation, Double-Edge, or Play Rough, if you're going for high damage.
Your team has a pretty good variety of types, with the only overlap being Rillaboom and Amoonguss's shared Grass-type. Still, there are three Pokémon that are weak to Fire, and three that are weak to Flying, with Rillaboom and Amoonguss being in both categories. Make sure you have significant coverage for both those types.
One final note is that nearly every Pokémon on your team is a physical attacker. This is important because if the opponent pulls out a Pokémon like Steelix or Avalugg, even super effective moves might not do much because those Pokémon have a high Defense stat, but your team would have a lack of special moves to get around it.
In short, it's a pretty decent team, and if used right, it could probably be competitively viable, but there are still a few improvements that could be made. But that's just me.
Also, apologies for the wall of text.0 -
