win or tie condition experiment, not sure if it's a bug or not

I conducted an experiment earlier on:

Player A has only a farfetch'd with 20HP on the battle field, no bench pokemon

Player B has 2 bench pokemon, and a Druddigon on the battle field, also 20HP

Both players have so far scored 2 points

Now player A's Farfetch'd attacks, so Farfetch'd and Druddigon will faint and give both players the third point at the same time

However the match won't end in a tie, but rather player B winning

Is this by design or a bug?

Both players win by getting three points - however, since Player A also has no Benched Pokémon left, Player B actually wins in two ways, while Player A only wins in one. Therefore, Player B gets the overall victory.
