Is a ranked/ladder system being worked on atm?

This game really needs a ranked system and these events don't cut it in my personal opinion.

Yes, at least the dev team mentioned they were working on adding a Ranked mode a couple of months ago or so. But I guess the trading feature had priority, I bet the next feature to come will be exactly that, the Ranked mode.
