Trading is so disappointing and needlessly difficult

I can only pick people from my friends list to trade with, but I can't see what cards they need. I have to send them a card, hope they need it, wait for them to send me one back, and hope I need that card, or else we just cancel the trade. So I pick someone else or a different card, and wait, only for the same thing to happen. I don't imagine I will ever end up actually trading, because I will never send a card they need and recieve one I need without both parties having full view of each other's collection. This is not even mentioning the price associated with trading, requiring the binning of multiple other cards to even try this is in the first place. As someone who liked collecting flairs too, I now regret all of those flairs, as they were potential trade resources. This also completely invalidates the already useless shinedust currency, used only for flairs, as a exorbitantly useless currency in comparison to the trade currencies. I had figured this feature would have limitations, but this is useless as is, and will result a successful trade for me once a month at best in my estimation. Please rework this so that players have actual agency over trade deals, and flairs and shinedust aren't made completely obselete in the shadow of a useless trading system.
