Remove the Diamond Limitation on Quests

There are always quests that force you to only use 1-4 Diamond rated cards in the deck. This limitation seems incredibly arbitrary, considering a "star" rated card is identical to the actual card but with a valuable art style. By implementing these quests, you are blocking us from using our most valuable, rare cards and being able to show off our most prized possessions in the matches. They provide no combat advantages whatsoever, but not being able to use my beautiful art cards because there is a quest restricting the quality of cards is really frustrating. Please remove these quests or change their nature so we can start building decks using the cards we wish to showcase from our collection. If I have a Crown Charizard ex, I would much rather use that than the normal Charizard ex.

I do agree that if a card is functionally identical to a card of a lower rarity, you should be able to use the higher rarity version. The challenge is in the limits on power, not bling.

That said, I think you can stomach using the base version of a card for one or two matches. It's not like you are forced to use the lower rarity version all the time.

I would actually like to see more events, or even a permanent format, that only uses cards of lower rarity. Give those cards a chance to shine.

I don't disagree that the lower rarity cards are nice, but with the limitation on the amount of decks we can make, it becomes frustrating to have to cater my deck building based on the potential for those types of quests. There are no logical reasons to limit my ability to complete a quest when the styled cards provide 0 performance benefit. If we could create unlimited decks, then sure, I would be fine creating flashy decks and non-flashy decks for specific missions, but I don't see them lifting the limit. I would rather they just allow us to use flashy cards we earned and be able to flex our collection. Isn't that the point of a game of collecting cards?

An alternative to those quests would be to create quests that require you to use decks that have no potions or items. Or no support cards. Force us to think outside of the box with our deckbuilding and come up with unique decks. Also increase the rewards because the rewards for those quests are not always worth the effort. But again, having a quest that says I am allowed to use Gyarados ex in the deck, but not Gyarados ex that has a 3D effect….even though the cards are functionally identical…seems really arbitrary and frustrating.

Thank you for reminding me why I avoid the internet. Can't even provide a simple suggestion without some 'keyboard warriors' feeling confident in their pajamas to provide irrelevant and useless opinions. Yes, I want to show off against the AI. I don't play games for other people, I play them for me and I want to use the cards I like, considering they offer no competitive advantage. What a strange concept… I am sure your confidence goes over real well at the local super market where you cut deli meat.

Clearly you missed the intent of the post. Probably missed a few other things in your life as well. It is ok.

It should really be for having no EX as thats the point not by rarity, and you know it can detect that because of tauros

I completely agree, it should just be no EX. It's a pain having to keep extra copies of my Blaine and Scolipede decks just for those missions.
